Planning a wedding was overwhelming at times, and picking a photographer was one of our biggest focus areas. But choosing Lauren was easily one of our best decisions and I can’t imagine having anyone else capture our day.

One of the reasons I chose Lauren is because of her photography style. It’s so clean, natural, bright, happy and real. When looking through her portfolio, I saw dozens and dozens of pictures that weren’t posed or overly edited - they were real, happy moments that she flawlessly captured. When I looked at some of our friends’ wedding pictures with other photographers, they were beautiful pictures....but they were also very posed and looked orchestrated. That just wasn’t us and Lauren understood that.

But I also chose Lauren for another reason. I don’t have many pictures of me and my husband because I’m often so uncomfortable in front of the camera. And Lauren immediately made me feel like I had known her forever - she has such a genuine, easy going, intuitive, and confident way about her that makes you feel like she’s got it all taken care of and won’t miss a thing. Throughout our engagement shoot and during the wedding day, she asked us silly questions, made us laugh, and captured the most genuine moments between me and my husband, as well as our guests. And during both shoots, she was so patient and more than happy to include our German Shepherd, Cali. She knew how important Cali is to us and took such fun pictures of us with her.

When I got our wedding photo album back, though, I was truly stunned - not only at how beautiful and natural our pictures were, but also at all the little moments Lauren and her team captured for us. She took pictures of everything I had hoped she would and more. She even added extra details - ribbons and geodes - to play up our wedding colors as she took photos of the wedding invites, my earrings and our rings when she captured those things on our wedding day. In true Lauren fashion, she also somehow knew that the perfume bottle I had setting out was important and so was the bracelet I was wearing that day, as both were gifts from my mom. I had no idea she caught those details, but I saw dozens of pictures of both things that she took pictures of in such a beautiful way!

I can’t recommend Lauren enough and hope to have many excuses in the future to work with her again!

Hiring Lauren as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions I made. The minute I sat down to meet with her, I felt that soul sister level connection and knew instantly I would book her. Our engagement shoot was so much fun and Lauren made us laugh and feel comfortable despite how nervous we were. The wedding day was even better with Lauren and her team. My pictures are more amazing than I could have ever expected and I still look through them all every week and love them even more. The images are so timeless and show all of the details that I spent so much time and energy planning out. I can't wait to use Lauren for future photo opportunities!

Lauren creates images that will take your breath away. I have been so fortunate to have Lauren as a photographer for an in home shoot and was in love with all the images. I've worked with many photographers before but Lauren will always be number one go to from here on out. Personable and professional she makes taking your photo relaxing and easy. My boyfriend who doesn't even like the camera enjoyed having her as our photographer. I could go on and on about who she is as a person and how deeply I love her work but my biggest piece of advice would be to reach out to her. She has fast response time and is always accommodating.

Lauren W Photography was the prefect choice for my wedding photography. I cannot say enough about her creativity and vision. I was really concerned about looking or feeling awkward in professional photographs, but Lauren put my husband and I at ease from the moment we met her. Lauren is almost more of an artist than a photographer. She captured the natural moments of our wedding so masterfully! I love the posed photos, but her candids are so special too! We have received so many compliments on our photographs, and could not be happier with the results.

Lauren is so personable and professional.We were planning our wedding from a far and had to do a lot of our planning via Skype and phone, but Lauren was very accommodating and worked with our complicated schedule! Her pricing is easy to understand and straightforward. While her prices might initially seem slightly higher than others, I promise that the service, quality, and ease of printing is beyond worth the cost and actually a great value. If you're looking for someone with an artistic eye and creative lens, she is the most amazing option!

When I first met Lauren I was really excited to book her. I loved her down to earth, natural, in the moment kind of style and she was extremely friendly which instantly made me feel comfortable. However, yes her work is great and she is a very nice person, I was very disappointed in choosing her. She moved as I was booking her and never responded to my emails about where to send the deposit, it ended up getting sent to the wrong address and took 2 more tries to make it to her. She never contacted me about our engagement shoot. I had to finally ask her when we should do it. We set a day for it and a week before, she wanted to move it because her husband had to work that day and she needed to watch her kid. Not a problem, we moved it a day and when she sent a confirmation she put down the old day so I emailed her to ask if that was correct, thinking she found someone to watch her son. No response. So I paid to get my hair and makeup done, we went on that day and she never showed. Called, texted and finally emailed and she responded the next morning apologizing for the miscommunication, offered to comp us an extra hour of wedding day coverage and a photo album. She was helping a friend shoot another wedding and had her phone off. Sketchy, since she was supposed to be with her son. Due to her lack of communication, I'm now left wondering if she will even show up to shoot our wedding. Adding to that, she gets an opportunity to shoot a wedding in Italy the week before our wedding leaving me more nervous. She was an hour late showing up on our wedding day and missed all of hair and makeup. She was great the day of, even though I'm not so sure we got that extra hour of coverage. For the most part, we were happy with our photos though I wish she would have paid more attention to the details in some of the shots. I have been married almost 2 years. Still haven't gotten that photo album after reaching out numerous times. Emailed her three weeks ago and still nothing.

We had a very unfortunate experience with Lauren W Photography. We booked this photographer more than a year in advance of our wedding date. She took our engagement pictures and said she'd be in touch closer to our wedding. We were very happy with her and excited to have found such an amazing photographer. However, 4 months before our wedding, she emailed me to say that she had mistakenly double booked our date and was no longer available for us. She refunded our retainer and recommended a few local photographers as replacements. We were obviously very upset but tried to be understanding and move on. We found out shortly after through her Instagram feed that she would be photographing a wedding in Italy on our wedding date. After I saw that, I suddenly realized what a fool I had been. I now find it very hard to believe that she mistakenly booked us for the same date as a wedding in Italy, and that it took her nearly a year to realize the mistake. I sincerely doubt that this couple booked her before we did because it doesn't make sense that you would forget a date like that. It seems like what really happened was that she jumped at an opportunity to advance her career as a destination wedding photographer and cancelled on us in the process. While Lauren takes beautiful photographs, I cannot recommend her to couples looking for a reliable wedding photographer. I am thankful we got our deposit back and that we found another photographer, but the whole experience was very stressful and nauseating just a few months before our wedding. I would caution all couples who are considering booking Lauren W Photography.
