We were thrilled to find that Laura was a local photographer of amazing quality, and really loved her sample work. But the real fun came with our engagement shoot - when she realized that we were not interested in generic pictures, she found ways to make things imaginative, romantic and fun. Her combination of traditional and photojournalic styles really appealed to us and did not disappoint.
Our wedding day pictures capture a good mix of the traditional and candid moments, and Laura (and her assistant) made sure that we got the ever-important family pictures alongside the unexpected moments. She remembered the things that were important to us, and managed to squeeze in some unusual and amazing locations in as well!
We have not yet chosen pictures for our album, but we used our engagement pictures to create a sign-in photo book, and if that is any indication, our wedding album will be unbelievable!

We were married in Septmeber and interviewed at least a dozen wedding photographers before we came across Laura. She photographed a wedding we had attended and we absolutely loved the photo of the bride and groom sitting on the steps in front of the big church door.
Laura took all the necessary family photos beforehand. The ceremony was moved from the beach to under the tiki hut last minute due to weather but she still managed to get some good shots of the ceremony. Our favorites are the spontaneous shots on the beach though... we get so many compliments on them! We gave photo books (that we made with Laura's shots) to our families for Christmas and they won't put them down. Laura's subtle suggestions really made the shots and we had a blast.
It was important to us to get the family shots but we really wanted some great artsy photos... and that is exactly what we got for a VERY reasonable price. Great value and wonderful photos!

I used to be a wedding photographer, so it was very important to me to find the right person for my wedding. I wanted an exact style and someone with a nice personality and Laura was both of these. She did a combination of photojournalistic and traditional photography and gave our portraits the contemporary urban feel I was looking for. I wished we had done a few different locations but some we never got to. I also wish that there was more coverage of the guys before the wedding, but overall, she did a really great job!
