The PREPARE/ENRICH Premarital Program begins with an online assessment of couples' personalities, extroversion and introversion, the level of rigidity or flexibility of families of origin, and conflict-avoidant tendencies. The results of both partners are then analyzed, and a report is generated with an entire graph of areas of the couple's strengths, categories that could benefit from improvement, and areas that are the most challenging. The program thoroughly covers the following relationship areas at its core and has several additional sections based on unique couple traits:

4. Partner Habits
5. In-Laws
6. Friends of each partner
7. Sharing household responsibilities in cohabitation

The PREPARE/ENRICH premarital program can be customized in several different ways, not limited to selecting a couple's specific faith, previous divorce, children from prior relationships & step-parenting, and intercultural marriages.

Format of Delivery:

Accelerated Couples Premarital Retreat Weekenders

Our weekenders are limited to a max of 6 couples to provide a customized experience in the intimate group setting.They are intensive, offer plenty of rest and meal breaks, and opportunity for private discussion with the retreat leader.

Private Couples Premarital Weekender Intensive

Couples have the choice of attending an entire couples premarital counseling weekender with the complete and full attention of our retreat leader. The couple would complete all sections of the service in an accelerated time period and the intensive weekend will be thoroughly customized to the unique matters the couple is facing.

Private Weekly Premarital Counseling Sessions

Couples may elect to meet weekly for 50-minute or 90-minute sessions to work their way through the program under the confidential clinical care of the licensed Marriage & Family Therapist & Certified Premarital Counselor.

Specialty Supportive Wedding Services

Graciela Pacheco, MA, MFT offers a unique level of support in providing high-level extended support the week of the wedding, the day before the wedding, and is available for hire to physically be present to support partners on the very day of their wedding. This is particularly loved by persons who live with social anxiety, feel anxious about walking down the aisle or being stared at by guests, and those who have a history of a prior traumatic marriage and divorce and feel triggered. Lastly, some engaged couples have elected to utilize on-site services to manage high-conflict family members and help navigate handling unhealthy behavior between family members with prior rifts, grudges, or other difficult personalities.

Post-Marital Support: The Newlyweds Club

After the wedding, Las Vegas Premarital Counseling offers couples the opportunity to join The Newlyweds Club, a subscription-based service with several different levels of support. In the first year of marriage, it is common to face conflict, especially when a couple has not lived together prior to marriage. Package options include a confidential group for newlyweds for the community and to receive frequent personalized responses to questions. Couples can also elect to set up membership levels that offer ample phone and live video check-ins, office appointments, and urgent appointment privileges. There are excellent skill-building resources, personalized video messages, and diverse formats that are convenient for all couples.

About the Founder & Director

All Las Vegas Premarital Counseling services are led by a dual state Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) and Certified PREPARE/ENRICH Premarital Counseling. Graciela Yasmin Pacheco, MFT, initially learned to apply this science-backed premarital counseling by practicing with engaged couples who were part of a religious community that arranged marriages! That was probably the best training ever because she assisted couples who truly didn't know each other move through the program, even when they seemed highly conflictual and incompatible.

LGBTQ Couples

The facilitator hopes to generate enough interest to hold LGBTQ couple's weekend retreats so that there is a safe environment [hopefully] free from misogynistic comments and behavior towards queer participants. Engaged queer couples must understand that the program will be slightly adjusted in private customized services, given the many complexities that queer couples face, such as navigating discrimination together, who has more passing privilege, the varying ways to have a child, internalized homophobia & transphobia and how we oppress each other, high levels of traumatic stress, and more complexities around spirituality and in-law approval.

LGBTQ marriages have an elevated risk of divorce, in particular in lesbian relationships, which rank higher in divorce rates than homosexual male marriage and heterosexual marriage rates (which are already high). All of the premarital counseling program identifies persons as "partners," and the curriculum never utilized Mr., Mrs., husband, or wife.
