Venus is a friend of mine from college. I’ve been watching her make cake and other beautiful creations for over ten years, and couldn’t wait to have her apply her skills for my eventual wedding. When that day finally arrived, I couldn’t have been more amazed with what she provided. My husband and I scheduled a cake tasting with La Vie Douce Design a few months in advance, and each flavor she had us try was better than the last. She even had unique spins on more traditional flavors, like chocolate with earl grey ganache. I hand drew a cake as an idea, and Venus brought that vision to life, including the cake’s texture and several ornate sugar flowers. Venus also provided several delicious flavors of macarons, which were a hit with our guests. Highly recommended!

I was going crazy trying to find a wedding cake! I didn't like the cake I tried when I did a tasting (we had a destination wedding). I found Venus after weeks of browsing on social media. She couldn't ship us anything so we had a friend taste it for us.

She was super helpful and everything turned out delicious! Very pleasing to the eye. My mom even asked me how to replicate a verrine we had at the wedding (which I wish I knew how).
