La Scala Ristorante was originally a private residence that was built in 1898. The Sisters of Mercy began living here in 1924 and added the chapel during their stay. Peacock Florists made the venue their home in the early 1990s until 2015. Soon after, the current owners purchased the building and worked on restoring it to its original splendor.
