Thank you to La Mila Catering & Events for helping our venue Women's Club of Glen Ridge, to execute a wedding 04/20/24 (200 + guests) without an event manager and with a self-serve bar. While challenging, we pulled it off with great success!! From the get go, working with Sandy (Director of Catering & Sales) was fantastic!! She was organized, a great communicator, patient, kind and willing to do whatever needed to be done to help her clients. The captain & Co-Owner of La Mila (Heidi) was beyond professional and did an amazing job creating beautiful displays and keeping the staff moving. Last but certainly not least, the food was excellent!! Elie (Executive Chef and Co-Owner) outdid himself in the kitchen! He followed protocol and provided a delicious menu for all. We look forward to having them back!! We highly recommend La Mila for all your catering needs!! 

La Mila provided outstanding catering services for our 2024 wedding! Elie, Heidi, and their team were so personable and easy to work with. Their passion, care, and professional experience were reflected in every detail they incorporated into our special day. Throughout the planning process, Elie worked with us to put together a menu and ensure that all of our needs were met on the day of, giving us much-needed peace of mind. Their team of servers and chefs showed excellent attention to our guests, and the artful spreads they put together, from the cocktail hour through dessert, were stunning. On top of this, the food was incredibly delicious and cooked to perfection. So many of our guests have reached out to comment on how remarkable the food and service were. (We're still daydreaming about those meatball skewers, the garlic chicken, the short ribs, and more!) La Mila was a crucial part of making our day seamless and unforgettable. I highly, highly recommend them for your catering needs!

I was the wedding planner for a beautiful fall wedding in October. I could not have done it without La Mila as my catering support. They went above and beyond to make the day perfect. Their attention to detail, beautiful displays, impeccable service and most importantly delicious food was more than I could have ever asked for. I would hire them for every event I have in the future and place my full confidence in their team. I was not an easy client, I have high expectations and I called them 24/7 making changes or adding things on and every time I needed anything I was met with professionalism and grace. I could not thank them enough. I even sent them a mood board of how I envisioned everything to look and it was exactly what I asked for. If you want your big day or special event to be perfect go with La Mila, you won't be disappointed.

As a classically trained chef, I hope my review of La Mila inspires anyone doing their “homework” to earn an A — for themselves, especially their guests. I’ve been to many weddings, and the food served is often an edible afterthought. How many times, when leaving a wedding, were you asked, “What did you think about the food?” — and you replied with shrugged shoulders, “Eh, it was okay.” That is not the case with La Mila.

A huge shoutout and thank you to Sandy, who was able to pull together a phenomenal menu all in a very timely timeline. Sandy was honest, upfront, and available around our busy work schedule. The day before and the day of, Sandy was there to help with setup — from the big asks, like helping move furniture, to the small tasks—like lighting lanterns and ensuring no glass of champagne for our toast was served empty! Given our wedding took place at our home, we thoroughly appreciated Sandy staying late to clean the kitchen, empty overflowing garbage, and make sure our home was not a war zone when we woke up the next morning!
Elie’s execution of our menu was stellar. As a classically trained chef, I was thoroughly impressed by the well-run machine Elie could create within our garage, the makeshift kitchen for the event. It rained on our wedding day, and we were blessed with a beautiful, vivid rainbow—right before dinner service. This blessing brought all our guests outside for 30 minutes—right before dinner. A major wrench in the moment-by-moment timeline. I know how this, for many chefs, can be a disruptive, unexpected delay—but Elie did not miss a beat. All of our guests raved about the food—notably friends who I graduated with from the Culinary Institute of America.
One thing I learned in culinary school is that you “eat with your eyes first.” Simply put, Heidi’s presentation skills are on point! Her attention to detail in creating beautiful food displays, notably for our cocktail hour, showed the care, thought and love we wanted our guests to feel.
Sandy, Elie, and Heidi may be the stars of La Mila’s show—but the success of our wedding would not have been possible without their hard-working and friendly staff.
One of the elements that sold us on choosing La Mila, was their well-stocked arsenal of kitchen equipment they brought on site. (Most caterers require you rent equipment separately, which is not only more expensive, but introduces a whole new dimension of moving parts.) La Mila was also able to include chinaware, silverware, and the majority of our glassware! They even included soft drinks, water, condiments, cocktail napkins, etc. — all of this, and they still came in under what we were quoted by other caterers.

We had the absolute best experience with La Mila as our wedding caterer. Giving them 5 stars isn’t high enough of a recommendation! The food was unbelievably delicious and the set up so beautiful, we keep hearing great reviews from our guests to this day. The La Mila team was an absolute dream to work with! Elie was super knowledgeable and responsive. Beyond catering, he can provide great recommendations on venues, other types of vendors, and anything else you can possibly think of. He is extremely attentive and willing to make all of your ideas come to life. As for the food itself, La Mila can tailor their offerings to your exact taste, no matter the cuisine. I could not recommend La Mila enough! Book them as your caterer if you’re looking to wow all your guests!

Amazing company and wonderful and professional owners!! La mila catered cocktail hour at my wedding and it was Nothing short of perfect. Food was delicious and presentation was absolutely beautiful!!

Ellie and his team were absolutely wonderful to work with. Ellie made himself easily available to connect and discuss the plans for our event, making us feel comfortable to reach out and make changes/updates if we needed. When it came to the event itself, it was executed beautifully. The La Mila team set up the bar and buffet perfectly with floating candles and natural greenery, it was just the aesthetic we wanted. The servers and bartender were professional and attentive to us and our guests. Overall, awesome experience working with the La Mila Catering team. We look forward to working with them again!

La Mila Catering & Events, run by a lovely couple Eli and Heidi, provided a personal, creative plan for my daughter’s wedding. They designed and decorated her beach ceremony with an amazing floral arch, chairs, flowers and aisle runner. The couple and their staff also transformed an outdoor site into a beautiful elegant reception. The floral/candle arrangements were beautiful as well as the table settings and food presentation. The appetizers and buffet style entrees were abundant and delicious. All the guests raved about everything!
