Man - these cakes are GOOD! I will make a disclaimer and say that I grew up down the street from Jenny - but I had not seen her in 10+ years. When I got engaged, my sister mentioned that Jenny had started a bakery and that we should check her out. I contacted her and set up a tasting. She brought me 12 cupcakes - 3 each of 4 flavors - and we all thought we'd died and gone to cake heaven. Her cakes are WONDERFUL. My then fiance was not able to join us for the first tasting - so I selfishly asked for a 2nd tasting - and she graciously agreed. We got everything set and in writing - lemon cake with lemon buttercream frosting - and one layer with a raspberry filling.
As an aside - I noticed as time got closer to the wedding that Knead Cake Bakery has developed a huge following on facebook. It seems everyone I know has either bought or tasted one of her cakes - and all of the reviews were raves!
A week or so before the wedding, I realized we had a gluten-free guest who would be the only person not partaking in cake - so I sent Jenny a quick message asking if she had any gluten-free cakes in her repertoire. She made four chocolate gluten free cupcakes that made our guest cry with how tasty and thoughtful they were. And the rest of the guests - let me just say there was no cake leftover. And we over-ordered!
