Working with Kelly was great! I loved having her as my HMU artist. I felt very comfortable the whole time during the day of my wedding and also during my trial run. Kelly and her partner arrived on time and was very kind the whole time. I loved how she had the timeline already set and not once did we feel rushed. My hair and make-up stayed put all day which I highly appreciated, even after I had cried as soon as I walked down the aisle I still looked great in the pictures. I just I felt so BEAUTIFUL on my wedding day and I will always be grateful for Kelly!
However my three bridesmaids did want me to make it known for them that did not love their make-up. They said the felt oily all day and was a bit sad that they spent the $250 and since it was an expense they expected name brand products - Kate I believe was the other HMU artist.

Sooo happy with my decision to work with Kelly Jo Beauty! For starters, it was really helpful to do the HMU trial to see how the makeup sat on my skin over time, decide where to clip in my veil, etc. - totally worth it (and fun 🙂)! Kelly Jo is super down to earth and lovely to chat with, and was really open to making adjustments and gave helpful tips to get the best results on my wedding day. She and Kate Miller did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, mom, mother in law, and me and they were able to capture what each of us was envisioning so well. Everyone looked gorgeous and felt their best. The team was so flexible and patient, and we all had a great time hanging out with them as they did their magic! Overall it was a wonderful experience. Look no further for your HMU artist!

Kelly is such an amazing hair and makeup artist. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding day, along with hair and/or makeup for a few of my bridesmaids, and all of us couldn’t have been happier! We all wanted a similar, relatively natural (but still elevated) look, and she nailed it! Everyone felt comfortable and loved their final look, and the makeup stayed all day and night — I didn’t even need to reapply lipstick once! On top of that, Kelly is so friendly and sweet. I can’t recommend her enough — she is the best!

Kelly was very responsive, kind, and punctual. She recreated exactly what I had in mind. My hair and makeup lasted ALL day. My MOH and flower girl looked beautiful too! If you want your hair and makeup done right, Kelly is your girl!

Kelly Jones Makeup is amazing! We were so incredibly lucky to have Kelly and her team do the makeup and hair for my wedding party, mom, mother-in-law, and me. She went above and beyond to work with me to schedule hair and makeup for my flower girl and junior bridesmaids!

Kelly did my hair and make-up for my wedding, and also did hair and make-up for my bridesmaids. She is exceptionally talented - end of story and reason enough to book. However, in addition, Kelly is a great person; exactly who you want to be around you on your wedding! I was calm, happy, and laughing the whole morning. I could not be happier with how I looked (and therefore felt) on my wedding day.

Kelly did a wonderful job on my wedding day. She made everyone look their best. I had very few ideas about what I wanted and sort of left things up to her, and it turned out beautifully! She was also just a very calm and cool person to have around. I really can't recommend her enough.

I feel like Kelly should have way more reviews on here. But she's probably out killing it without them anyway because she's so good! I still feel like there should be a more recent one on here...so simply put Kelly and her makeup team are amazing. She did makeup/hair for my rehearsal dinner as well as wedding at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley and she was such a calm, positive presence on a day that you're spending a lot of time with your hair/makeup peeps. She even doubled as a day of planner to help handle some last minute situations. Uber professional, amazingly talented at both hair and makeup (which is rare!), and such a joy to be around - worth every penny.

Kelly herself was already contracted for another event on my wedding date, but luckily she was able to contract her partners Malina and Brooke for my wedding day! Kelly was my main point of contact for coordinating, and was fantastic to work with. Both Kelly and Malina were there for my hair and make-up trial, and then on the wedding day, Malina and Brooke provided hair and make-up services for me, my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law. Malina and Brooke felt like "one of the girls" and fit right in spending the morning chatting with us while getting ready. And everyone looked absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I was so happy that I was able to work with Kelly, Malina and Brooke, and would highly recommend all of them.

Kelly is absolutely amazing!! She did makeup for my bridesmaids, mother, and myself on my wedding day and I could not of been more pleased. From the first time I met Kelly for my makeup trial, she was so professional, kind, and personable. She made me feel amazing after the trial and knew she would make me feel beautiful on my wedding day! We did makeup onsite the day of my wedding and she was there and set up for our early start at 6:30am. She had a scheduled timeline and worked with the hairstylist, photographers, and coordinator flawlessly. I caught her helping out with one of my bridesmaids dresses and offered help to some of the girls who did their own makeup. She went above and beyond! And then the actual makeup was amazing!!! Exactly what I wanted, what my girls wanted, and she made my mom look so so beautiful. We had SO many compliments throughout the day -- and my makeup stayed on through the entire day. I can't wait to see the photos!!! I recommend Kelly to anyone looking for hair or makeup on their special day!
