Everything about the JW is wonderful. It is a month later and my guest still comment to me about the venue. It was beautiful and the staff is impeccable. They assigned me two coordinators and each of them were very friendly and extremely helpful. If there was anything that went wrong I did not know about it. The food is also very good! We had steak and chicken for each of the guest and I still get compliments about the it.

The JW Marriott did an outstanding job on our wedding. The only negative was that they are extremely busy and didn't always get back to me in a timely fashion - but in the weeks immediately prior to the wedding and on the actual day itself, they went way above and beyond what I expected. The food was way better than usual function food, the venue beautiful, and the staff very responsive in anticipating our needs and in giving us a memorable event. Our friends and family loved the resort (especially the pool) and we were given a beautiful suite for the night before and of the wedding. They bent over backwards to attend to details we hadn't even thought of and we had no worries on the wedding day. We loved it and would recommend the JW Marriott to anyone looking for a spectacular wedding or any other special event. We look forward to returning for our anniversary in the future!

This is the most beautiful place in South Texas to get married at. As another reviewer mentioned, they are really busy, so they don't get back to you in a timely manner, which can be frustrating for a bride. However their attention to detail, and how great they make up for not calling you back quickly easily makes up for it. Our friends and families loved the resort, the pool, and the many venues to eat and have a cocktail at. The wedding lawn is the perfect setting for your ceremony, and all of the ballrooms are done very nicely for your reception. But the best thing is the food. EVERYONE loved the food. We did a bunch of tasting bars, vs a sit-down dinner, and it was awesome. Definitely have your wedding here!!
