I first had the pleasure of meeting Justin in 2018 when he photographed my sister’s wedding. He was such an integral part and highlight of her wedding day I remember telling him as he left that if I were ever to get married, he’d be one of the first calls I made. I was so thrilled to have that come to fruition as my husband and I began planning our wedding. I knew I wanted to have Justin on our team, not only because his photographs are beautiful but because he was such a calming and helpful presence. Even as a bridesmaid, I felt supported by him, and it was so obvious what a rock he was for my sister that day. He helped her relax in stressful moments, made her laugh, and had everything you could ever imagine needing on a wedding day down to Cliff bars when a bridesmaid said she was hungry.

Working with Justin was everything I expected and more. From our first meeting he was transparent and clear, and I really valued the way he sought to get to know us as a couple and learn our story. It made me feel like he was already working to make our wedding photos feel like “us”. Throughout our planning meetings Justin was organized, diligent, and was a massive support in the development of our timeline to make sure we balanced our desire to get the photos we were looking for with having time to actually enjoy being guests at our own wedding.

On the wedding day, as a chronic over-thinker, I definitely had some anxiety. When Justin arrived, I felt instantly better. He checked in, made sure I had everything I needed, and brought lots of energy. It really felt like having another friend there!

Anything I had a concern or question about; Justin was the first to volunteer to go find out the answer or make a request of a vendor. When it came time for our first look, we stepped outside and the first thing I felt was a raindrop. I was so disheartened, but Justin didn’t even flinch. He simply went to find an umbrella just in case and off we went. It felt like Justin was telepathic all day. Anytime I was overwhelmed he seemed to recognize it immediately and checked in to make sure I was good. When I asked for a break, he didn’t question it. My dad has some physical limitations and Justin made sure there was a chair available for him whenever he needed it, which really meant the world to me. In addition to the raindrops, it was also incredibly windy. Justin used that to our advantage and made sure we were positioned where the wind was working for us as opposed to against us. He really has an incredible eye and has the ability to make just about any backdrop or venue stunning.

When we got our pictures back, all the happy tears from the wedding day came flooding back. I couldn’t believe how well he captured every emotion of our day. The pictures really told a story between us and the people we love most. They are truly a gift we will cherish forever. If you are considering having Justin photograph your wedding, or really any important life event, I would encourage you to book him asap. I promise you won’t regret it. We are forever grateful for his talents, patience, and kindness. Our wedding day would not have been the same without him.

Justin exceeded every expectation we had of a wedding photographer. Our wedding day was perfect because of the attention to detail and professionalism he provided every step of the way, from planning meetings to the reception. He coordinated with our other vendors, especially the day-of coordinator at our venue (A Basin), so that he could get the perfect shots while keeping the day running on time (often ahead of schedule), smoothly, and efficiently.
His pictures are breathtaking. He and his incredible 2nd shooter, Travis, captured everything we had hoped for and more. We have so many favorites we are having trouble deciding which to print and frame. He captured the joy and emotions of us, our families, our friends, and the beauty of the mountains around us. We have a moment by moment record of our ceremony, something I will cherish forever.
What makes Justin and his team stand out, though, is what they do beyond photography. Any issue we had, Justin and Travis solved. Groom's hair is getting blown around in the wind? Huge can of hairspray ready to go. Need extra fashion tape to keep your dress straps in place? Justin has more than you could ever need. It's going to rain during the ceremony? Justin ensured the wedding party had coordinating umbrellas and knew where to stand and how to hold them. Two members of my bridal party felt very sick due to the altitude but didn't want to talk to me about it and worry me. I could tell and asked Justin to check on them. He and our venue coordinator arranged for transportation down the mountain and ensured they would get back safely to their rooms without myself or the groom knowing any of that was happening. He took care of my best friends like they were his best friends. They both told me how grateful and amazed they were by his kindness and care.
We have since gotten so many compliments on the photos and asked, "how did you find that amazing photographer?" I can't recommend Justin enough, I promise you will be so grateful you hired him.

His insistence on stealing moments alone amidst the chaos of the day allowed us to savor the magic of our union against the breathtaking backdrop of the mountains.

As the sun remained hidden behind the clouds for the majority of the wedding day, its eventual descent below the horizon was a welcome surprise, casting a radiant alpenglow upon the landscape. Justin and Mike, seizing the opportunity, whisked us outside to capture the golden hour's ethereal beauty. These impromptu moments, immortalized in photographs, serve as timeless reminders of the love and joy that filled our hearts on that magical day, despite the earlier lack of sunlight.

One of the most memorable moments of the day occurred when Justin, amidst the hustle and bustle of the festivities, noticed that the planned "Family Fireball Shot" photo was about to be missed. With characteristic grace and composure, he rallied the troops, ensuring that this spontaneous and cherished moment was captured for eternity.

Looking back, we are eternally grateful to Justin for his unwavering dedication, creativity, and professionalism. He didn't just capture photos; he curated memories that will last a lifetime.
