Absolutely 💯 would recommend Nautica! We had a celtic/viking theme wedding and Lynda couldn't have been a better person for our hairstyling! She is such an outgoing person and I felt like we were best friends from the very start!

They are awesome! I recommend using her services for your wedding

Lynda the owner and her daughter are great to work with. Listened to what I wanted and gave suggestions to help me on my special day.

To start let me just say that they do great work and I did feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day and loved my hair and makeup. However, this vendor caused me the most stress of any of my vendors. I chose them because they were the least expensive of some of the other salons I looked at and was trying to keep costs down for my bridesmaids. When I had my hair and make up trial both Lynda and her daughter Tyeler were very personable and seemed like they knew what they were doing and helped me to create a look I liked. However, when I sent it my contract it seems like they didn't even read over it prior to my wedding. In it I said how many services each girl had requested and who wanted airbrushed makeup and lashes. On the day of my wedding they didn't bring the air brush make up and hadn't planned for enough lashes for every one. Lynda also had forgotten about my wedding when she committed to doing the hair for another bride on the day of my wedding so she asked me to get ready earlier so that she would have time to get to the other bride. After this, she was actually late to getting to my venue to start getting ready (which was due to getting lost), but I can only imagine how stressed the other bride was since at least we already had too much extra down built in since we were getting ready earlier for her. Her pricing was also inconsistent. She had quoted my prices during the planning, but one of my bridesmaids paid over $100 for her hair when she took less time than other girl who only paid $80. I had also paid a security deposit that was supposed to go towards our services that Lynda seemed to have forgotten about when she told my mom the final price. All in all I chose her for the cheaper prices she had quoted, but we probably ended up paying more than other salons. Everyone was honestly happy with their hair and makeup and it did last all day, but they definitely have some kinks to work out in terms of pricing and professionalism.

I WOULD NOT USE THIS SALON:
I used this particular salon for my wedding and did not have a great experience. I had an issue with my previously found hairstylist and a personal issue with the experience level of the stylist, and this salon was able to take me on, in a 3 week short notice for my wedding, which was great. The trial run went well, and as every bride does, there were a few things in which I communicated to her that I would like to have changed for the day of, she mentioned she could do that. One of which was giving my bun more volume and structure and changing the French braid to an overlay braid.

The issue came the day of the wedding when she showed up 30 minutes late, and immediately had a verbal issue with my makeup artist. She was way behind schedule by the time she got to me by at least an hour, and there was still 3 people’s hair to be done. As she worked on my hair she told me that my hair was unable to be braided, and was too thin, too clean, etc. she complained and bashed my hair the entire time. My hair (as pictured) was how she had left it for me to walk down the aisle. I had went to the bathroom to talk to my bridesmaids about helping me fix it. There was so much hairspray in my hair, it looked wet and crunchy, and the braid was so awful and uneven due to the stylist trying to cover a bald spot that she created by pulling my hair over too far on my head when she made the bun. She mentioned she was using a new technique for the first time and continued to give excuses for the performance of the service. Excuses which did not excuse the behavior because she had a trial with me and my hair was unchanged from the trail. I followed her direction to wash my hair the two nights before but not the day before.

When my maid of honor spoke up about what she was seeing from the back, the hair stylist got in her face and told her to back off, she wasn’t finished. My Mother finally asked her to leave, as we had three more people who had not had their hair done, and only an hour left before walking down the aisle. She was very unprofessional in her response, as she demanded she speak to me right then to receive feedback.

When a few days had passed, she told us we owed her more money, when we were attempting to receive a partial refund for girls who had not received her services. There was an issue receiving the money from her and this pursued for months after the wedding. She did little to give a positive customer interaction after ruining the biggest day of my life. I do not recommend this salon to brides for bridal hair. The lack of professionalism and time management unfortunately caused a lot of stress and unnecessary loss of time on my big day and well after. .
