We had a whimsical disco wedding—equal parts heartfelt and unhinged—and The Jupiter NEXT was the only place that could have held it all.

This wasn’t just a venue for us. The Jupiter has always been our go-to spot whenever we’re in Portland. It’s where we’ve stayed with friends over the years and made some of our favorite memories. Getting married there felt like a wedding and a reunion wrapped into one—layered, personal, and completely us.

The indoor space transformed effortlessly throughout the night. We had 130 guests and still managed to fit speeches, dancing, crafts, sequins, a whole lot of 70s jumpsuits and polyester, a cocktail bar, a cozy lounge, a ping pong table, and an unreasonable amount of hugging and crying—without ever feeling cramped. And not having to transport anyone? Incredible. The ability to just take the elevator to our wedding or bump into friends in the lobby all week made everything feel more connected and intimate.

Callie guided us through the planning process with a grounded, calm energy that made everything feel possible. She helped us figure out layout, flow, guest logistics, and all the tiny details we didn’t know we needed to think about. She coordinated directly with our vendors, helped solve problems before they became problems, and just made the whole experience feel surprisingly low-stress. And through it all, she was funny, flexible, and incredibly thoughtful. She never treated it like just another wedding, and we felt that.

Fernando, our day-of coordinator, absolutely crushed it. He kept everything moving, handled our disco-dinosaur energy like a pro, and made space for us to actually enjoy the day. He was organized, hilarious, and totally unflappable.

We also stayed at the hotel all week with our two chihahuas (we never wanted to leave!). The staff took such incredible care of us the entire time. We basically took over the place with our guests, outfits, props, and general shenanigans, and they never once made us feel like we were too much. Quite the opposite. They became our BFFs. It felt less like a hotel stay and more like being hosted by the world’s coolest, most accommodating friends.

The Jupiter NEXT gave us space to fully be ourselves and throw a joyful, weird, deeply meaningful celebration. It wasn’t just a venue—it was home for one of the best weeks of our lives. And honestly, we can’t imagine having had the day (or week) that we did without them.

I cannot imagine a better place than the Jupiter Next second floor for our welcome dinner, ceremony/reception, and post-wedding brunch. 108 guests attended the wedding and the entire floor with patio was plenty of space. We are so thankful to Callie and Fernando who are truly amazing at what they do. Not only did the space not require a lot of extra decor, the hotel provides linens, A/V, tables, chairs. We required no rentals. We got our beer/wine from Costco and the hotel’s bartenders provided service by the hour. We were able to DIY/prep flowers from Costco as we had access to the space all weekend. Guests from out of town mingled in the lobby and common spaces all weekend. It was like the convenience of a hotel wedding plus the character and vibes of a cool local spot, all at unbeatable value. If you have a lot of guests coming in from out of town and are planning a wedding in Portland, the Jupiter Next is a no-brainer!

We held our rehearsal dinner in the upstairs FLEX space. It worked out wonderfully and Eden and the rest of the Jupiter staff were super helpful and friendly. We also rented the corner XL suite for the weekend and I got ready for the wedding there as well. The lighting was great in the suite. We also had out of town family stay in the hotel and everyone was happy with their accommodations. Highly recommend Jupiter as a place to host your event and stay!

I can't quite put into words how incredible this place and staff is! Jupiter NEXT is a trendy & friendly spot in PDX perfect for adventurous, artsy folks. I first stayed here on a girls' trip with my friend and later considered them for my wedding weekend. After chatting with Eden in sales about our wedding needs, we were SOLD! The entire sales team - Eden, Jake, and others made our wedding weekend so special. The front desk staff was also friendly, accommodating, and just all around super rad! We hosted our rehearsal dinner in the DreamBOX space at Jupiter Original and our guests stayed in a room block at Jupiter NEXT. All of our guests raved about the hotel and the staff and many can't wait to come back. Eden made our event experience so smooth - there wasn't a stressful part about the evening whatsoever! She helped coordinate day-of setup and made sure our delivery caterer had ramp access. We also opted to hire one of Jupiter's bartenders and she was equally incredible and went out of the way to help with things outside of her hired duties! Had we not already picked our wedding venue elsewhere, it's safe to say we could have had a pretty magical wedding at Jupiter! We did not have the same ease of experience when we considered other hotels in the area - timely communication and true hospitality is hard to come by in this industry. We highly recommend hosting any size event at this hotel - the experience is simply unmatched! Thank you, Jupiter!

Perfect wedding venue, perfect day. Eden the event coordinator and the rest of the Jupiter NEXT staff made sure our big day was nothing short of spectacular. From the first walkthrough to the last minute of the reception, everything went seamlessly. Throughout the process Eden made us feel taken care of, and she quickly answered every last one of our (sometimes ridiculous) questions. We're so glad we close the Jupiter NEXT as our cocktail hour and reception venue! The ability to step outside on the patio or go inside to dance was great for our guests, and the recent acoustic improvements to the space made a huge difference for our dance floor. They were super helpful with setup and breakdown, and were fully flexible and transparent through the entire process. Even our guests staying at the hotel had nothing but kind words for the staff and absolutely loved the space. If we could give this 6 stars, we would!

The Jupiter Hotel and the Jupiter NEXT (where our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception were all held) are superb. The ballroom and 2nd floor space at the Jupiter Next where all our events were held was beautiful, fun, and very "Portland-y" which is just what we wanted. The rooms in the hotels are comfortable, clean, and also quirky "Portland-y". But the best thing about the Jupiter is the staff. EVERYONE we interacted with leading up to the wedding and even the day after was helpful, polite, warm, and absolutely competent. Eden, our on-site coordinator is incredible. She was great about working with all of our other vendors to make sure that things went as-planned. She offered helpful opinions where we needed them. She was also just a truly friendly and kind person to work with. The effective, efficient, and capable staff made it possible for my now husband and I to focus on each other rather than the details of how to make everything happen

The Jupiter NEXT was the perfect venue for our wedding. Eden and Jake (and the entire staff) were great to work with. Very responsive and flexible. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding or event.

We didn't have our wedding here, but we did book a room block at this hotel for our wedding in June 2025. They were very helpful in answering all our questions months before our wedding event. They were accommodating and provided everything we needed. They also had a designated area for our hired shuttle to get guests to our wedding venue. The Hey Love Bar was a great addition to have our after party at (not rentable, but very fun!). The only feedback we heard from guests was that some rooms have limited closet space. But overall, we're very happy we chose The Jupiter to stay in during our wedding weekend. Plus they have great complimentary coffee in the lobby!

We had our wedding at the Jupiter NEXT, and overall, it was a wonderful experience! One of the things we appreciated most was the flexibility to bring in our own vendors, allowing us to create a day that truly felt like us. The modern, swanky vibe of the hotel perfectly aligned with our vision, and our guests loved being able to stay onsite with easy access to Hey Love downstairs.

Working with Eden and the team at the NEXT was a pleasure. They were responsive, patient, and helpful throughout the planning process, answering all our questions and making sure we were prepared. The bridal suite was perfect—it was huge, had great lighting, and made getting ready a fun experience.

The venue also offered great value compared to others we considered, which was a major plus. However, one challenge we encountered was having multiple events scheduled the same weekend, and at times, it felt like the team’s focus was stretched, causing some delays in our setup. That said, the team really impressed us with their flexibility and patience. We had some hiccups on our end with rentals and clearing everything out after the event, and they were very understanding and accommodating, which we truly appreciated.

Overall, we are so happy we chose the Jupiter NEXT! It’s a fantastic venue for couples looking to personalize their celebration, with helpful staff, and a unique vibe that made our day unforgettable.

Had the best experience here at Jupiter Next for our wedding. First of all they were super accommodating in all of our ideas/last minute plans. They were super flexible with their wedding packages with a la carte options that fit whatever you need. The location is also really great if you have out of town guests who want to explore Portland. It's walking distance to so many restaurants and bars. The night before our wedding a lot of our guests drank at the hotel bar downstairs and also at Hey Love. After our wedding we had an unofficial after party across the street at Doug Fir. The whole vibe of the hotel is a party if that's what you're into. It was nice to not feel like we had to be quiet after the wedding when the whole downstairs is a bar that's open to the public. The staff is also super friendly and helpful too! Overall had the best weekend ever!
