Based in Medford, New Jersey, Julia Mooney Live Event Painter and Guest Illustrator provides memorable wedding entertainment and custom keepsakes. Julia, the owner, has years of professional training and plenty of experience painting live. She loves capturing a couple's special moment on canvas, specializing in acrylic paint on stretched canvas, radiating love and emotion in each brushstroke. For guest portrait sketches, Julia works in watercolor and also offers upgrades to include faces!
Services Offered
Live Wedding Painting: During your celebration, she will paint your portrait or the scene of your choice at the easel in front of you and your guests in a fun, non-intrusive manner while you enjoy your celebration to the fullest. Julia will arrive at the venue early to ensure plenty of time to set up and get a strong sense of the venue space, and she will capture a quick photograph of your special moment to look at as a reference for her painting. Unlike many other artists, she does NOT charge for different-sized canvases (you choose what works for you!) and always finishes her work at the event, making it a true live creation. Julia also offers framing for your convenience.
Live Guest Illustrations: Julia also offers live guest illustrations! Live guest illustrations are 5x7" watercolor illustrations of your guests. They take an average of 5 minutes per guest to paint and are always a huge hit. Guests don't need to stand there while she paints! Julia simply takes a photo of interested guests and uses that to look at while she paints. Then, guests can pick up their drawings from her table later in the evening. Guests can take home their own original art to remember your big day forever! Your package includes a custom painting of the couple (in the same watercolor style) that will be delivered after the wedding. Guest Illustrations are faceless, in the style of traditional fashion illustrations, but Julia offers the option to upgrade to include faces for an additional fee.
