We had a great experience with John Dukes Photography.
Before we can review the photoshoots, first and most importantly, it’s important to highlight how much John and Tracy care about their clients. It was very obvious to us that they wanted us to feel special and that showed from: their attention to detail, timely responses, requests for feedback, and multiple meetings before photoshoots.
RE: Engagement Photo Shoot
We first met with John and Tracy for brunch to discuss their photography style before our engagement photoshoot. During our time they asked us about our preference and showed their work and how they hoped to highlight us ahead of our big day (we went with the package). We were very happy to go with a park they had recommended and our pictures turned out beautifully. John also edited and returned the photos very quickly. When we had a few touch ups to a few images, he completed them within 24 hours.
Re: Wedding Day
Having met and shot with both John and Tracy for our engagement photos really made it quite easy to have us join our big day. Before our wedding day they also came to our wedding rehearsal and wedding rehearsal dinner. They wanted to make sure they knew the space quite well and the guests that were very important for us to capture.
On the day itself, they did capture so many of the pictures we wanted. We wish we could have had a few more specific photos- but that truly fell on us for wanting to have fun on the dancefloor! And again, the photos were turned into us within 3 weeks of the wedding day (unheard of- I know!) Just as with the engagement photos, a few edits were requested and they were returned as quickly.
Also- they did include a photo booth (for an extra - and reasonable- price).
Overall thoughts:
With John and Tracy you will find no better duo truly passionate about giving you everything you would want and more. Knowing how much they cared about the details really made a difference to us on our big days.

John and Tracy photographed our wedding in Frederick, MD and they were both phenomenal! They not only captured our engagement and wedding photos, but they also invested their own time to get to know us and learn about our love story. They care deeply about people and relationships, and their photography is nothing short of sensational! We are so happy we picked them! And you will be, too! I can’t say enough good things about John and his spouse, Tracy!! So friendly, so personable, so thorough, and they kept us laughing throughout the entire experience. Planning weddings are so stressful and John was the very least of my concerns, because I knew he had everything under control. We had a planning meeting with both of them at the venue, and John even attended our rehearsal to make sure he had a firm knowledge of how the ceremony was going to go.
