After our first meeting with the coordinator, we were rest assured that everything was going to be to our liking on our special day. We interviewed three D.J.’s, before hiring the third, James Smith. After meeting with him and corresponding with details, and a phone consultation, we compiled a wedding day timeline and song list compilation that he played for us and our guests in the ballroom. We were impressed with his enthusiasm, experience, skill, and the courtesy that he took with respect to our specific song list.

Joel was really great to work with and did a great job facilitating and coordinating everything for our wedding, as well as giving us a stellar deal. Our DJ, Joe Sheldon was beyond incredible. He was so kind to work with and his skills on the big night were unbelievable. We had so many compliments from our guests about what an awesome DJ Joe was. Wow can joe do a lot of different things and do them all spectacularly well! He was part of the jazz trio during cocktail hour. He played Spanish classical guitar during dinner. He was a great and understated emcee (I hate emcees that try to steal the show and Joe most certainly was not that type). He was an awesome DJ that mixed things well and read the room to play what needed to be played to keep up the party. He mixed out of things quickly if they weren’t getting the response he wanted but did it seamlessly. He played the songs we wanted played and he stayed away from things we didn’t want. I came up to him with a few requests during the night and he made them happen. Can’t say enough awesome things about DJ Joe Sheldon...he is amazing and beyond kind and professional. He is one of those guys that just oozes good vibes. He was never stressed and was just having a good time the whole night. If I could give him 10 stars I would!

Awesome band! Not the usual cover band by any means, but if you like samba and a lot of high energy dancable music, book them! They are a great value and very impressive for guests. I was nervous about going with a non-cover band but I'm so glad we did! It really gave the wedding a special flavor and it was so much fun. The band are great people too!

We hired Joel Nelson for our ceremony and cocktail music, and they were extremely responsive and helpful in creating a perfect blend of music to reflect our style. We received several comments after the wedding about how amazing the music was, especially the ceremony music which blended our Jewish and Indian heritages. I would definitely recommend them to future brides.

Rick from Joel Nelson productions was the DJ for my daughter's wedding in June and he did a fantastic job! Rick was there on time to set up and kept the dance floor hopping all night. Very classy--nothing cheesy about Rick. Many of our guests have commented that our DJ was the best they've seen anywhere. He did a great job sticking to our detailed timeline and added just the right direction to make the event flow flawlessly.

The DJ that we worked with through Joel Nelson Productions was Rick McMahon. He was great. He was very flexible and easygoing, and very easy to talk to. He gave us lots of support during the event to keep things running smoothly. He coordinated announcements (such as the first dance, the father/daughter dance, etc) with the day-of planner, the videographer, the photographer and the wait staff. Also very importantly as the DJ, he kept the party exciting! He got people on to the dance floor and having fun. Thank you Rick and Joel Nelson Productions!

Overall we were happy with the service that Joel Nelson Productions provided. Rick was our DJ for the night and he did a good job of making sure that people were on the dance floor and that there were no awkward song changes that made people leave the dance floor. The SF Giants were also playing the Phillies to clinch the playoff spot and with the help of Rick, our guests were happy to hear him give updates on the game throughout the night so they could enjoy the night without needing to check their mobile devices. We would definitely recommend their services for anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

They did exactly what I asked. All the songs on my list were played, announcements and crowd motivation were great. The price was the lowest from what I saw. Would definitely use again.
