Are you interested in a historic setting for your event? Jim Miller Hall is a real treasure! The cornerstone was laid on July 3, 1833. After a fire destroyed the original building, the new building was dedicated on September 8, 1895. It was purchased by the Thoroughbred Chorus in 1981. The building was known as Thoroughbred Hall until recently when the Thoroughbreds renamed the building after Director Emeritus Jim Miller who led the Thoroughbreds to 6 of their 7 International Championship wins.
Jim Miller Hall, home of the Thoroughbreds, is conveniently located at 10609 Watterson Trail, in the heart of Jeffersontown. It is the perfect location for your event. This historic church building can comfortably accommodate your guests. The large stained glass windows and huge trees make beautiful backgrounds for your pictures. There is a recently remodeled kitchen for food preparation by the caterer of your choice. It's okay to serve alcohol however, you can not sell it! Smoking is not allowed in the building. Tables and chairs are provided for parties of up to 150-200 guests. Ample parking is available.
The hall rents for $750 for all day, from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM, and includes the dance floor and tables and chairs. We require a $250 Reservation Deposit when we sign the lease to hold the hall exclusively for you. We require a $250.00 damage deposit when you receive a key to the hall, which is fully refundable as long as there is no damage.
Recently, we have repaired the beautiful stained glass windows, remodeled the large kitchen and installed all new oak cabinets and updated the appliances to include a side by side refrigerator, a stove and an under cabinet microwave above the stove as well as a food warmer to keep your food warm until it is time to serve it. We also replaced the 2 main air conditioners and furnaces to keep your guests cool on the hottest of days and warm on the coldest of days.
We constantly do whatever it takes to keep Jim Miller Hall in good repair to insure that your special day is a pleasant day.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here in July. For a small reception like ours (60-80 people), Jim Miller Hall is a wonderful venue. Tables and chairs (and there are plenty of both) are included in the extremely affordable rental price. The hall has an enormous basement kitchen, with 3 full size refrigerators, for any food preparations or catering; I prepared most of the food myself, with some help from friends and family, so this was a total blessing for me. We were able to have access to the hall the night before the reception and the whole day of, which gave us plenty of time to set up and decorate. There are some quirks about the venue--the spooky old graveyard outside, the retro pictures of barber shop quartets on the walls--but if you're anything like us, those quirks made the reception unique and fun, and regardless, the hall is a lovely and comfortable place to celebrate your special day.Sent on 12/04/2011

I was so scared my venue was going to be so small. But it turned out perfect. I loved it, we set it up really nice. The clean up service with the church messes up our order forgot our ice bucket, but once we called they brought ot right overSent on 10/11/2012
