Very talented photographer
First I would like to start with the positives. I hired Jessi for our wedding because I loved her style. Before I even met my now husband I had stumbled upon her instagram and knew she was who I wanted to photograph my wedding whenever that day was to come. When planning the coverage for our wedding, Jessi was very responsive and engaged in all of our meetings. If we had a random idea or question, she was always open to our texts and responded in detail. The photos we were able to get for our wedding are stunning. They are beautifully shot and edited, everyone who sees them rave about how beautiful they were. If our wedding day would have went differently I could have given Jessi full 5 star reviews but unfortunately nothing about our wedding day went according to plan. Our wedding ceremony was to start at 4:30pm. When my bridesmaids and I arrived at 2:15pm to the venue to get our pre-ceremony photos taken, our photos were to start at 3pm. Jessi texted me and our wedding planner at 2:43pm stating that her GPS took her to the wrong town and she was over an hour away. I will say my wedding planner handled our schedule changing and now up in the air very poorly from that point on and why our wedding day was a complete disaster. I was completely devastated. My bridesmaids and I sat in our dressing room area for over an hour finishing getting ready and not knowing what we were supposed to do. My husband and his groomsmen were supposed to have their getting ready photos taken, I was supposed to do a first look with my parents (one who we found out a couple weeks before the wedding that they have a terminal illness), first look with my bridesmaids and all of our bridesmaids/bridesmaid group photos. My sister in law came to try to take some details photos for us and the guys getting ready; however, the quality did not turn out the way we had hoped which my sister in law already reiterated since she is not a professional photographer. When Jessi arrived around 4:40pm she was very apologetic and started taking photos of my friends getting into their dresses, my dress, and me getting into my dress. My wedding planner was rushing us to get to the ceremony site but I asked Jessi if we could at least take my first look photos with my bridesmaids since both of my parents were already at the ceremony site. This had to be rushed through and was not exactly what I wanted. Where we were having our reception was beautiful and I wanted to take photos with my girls by the water, around on the grounds of the nature preserve. When we got to the ceremony site my wedding planner did not give our photographer or videographer time to get set up and immediately started the procession, this ruined EVERYTHING. You can tell by what photos Jessi was able to get on my face that I was very disappointed and not happy. This was because of seeing that everything we discussed with our wedding planner was not executed at all and she messed up our line up even though we practiced it the day before exactly how it was supposed to be. The plan for post-ceremony photos was for us to take pictures with out families and me and my husband to take our photos and individual portraits; however, we were now rushing to get mine and my bridesmaids photos since we had none done prior to the ceremony, the groomsmen photos with my husband, our family portraits, and our portraits. We got married by a water fall and all I wanted was a photo down on the sandbar next to the falls, unfortunately due to us having a fall wedding it started to get dark after our ceremony and we had no time to get the photos we actually wanted. When taking family photos Jessi had us make a shot list of who we were to take pictures with and in what order and send that to her; however, when it was time for this she wad asking me who we were taking photos with/order, I was already frazzled and so upset but I was having to think off of the top of my head who all we needed, the different arrangements/combos of family with us and going through photos realizing I did not get all the ones I wanted with our family and us due to not being able to remember the entire list I sent to her prior to our wedding. My husband and I were supposed to take photos together at our ceremony and reception site, I have a few photos with him at our ceremony site and none at all at the grounds of our reception site due to it being too dark. I do feel like if we were able to have taken the pre-ceremony photos, this wouldn't have taken away from our post ceremony photos and our photos together as a newly married couple. Jessi was very professional still, very apologetic, and refunded us back our deposit. It is just unfortunate because we don't have nearly as many photos that we would have wanted and are missing four sections of our wedding photo timeline didn't happen at all. We are still uncertain how Jessi's GPS took her the wrong way/wrong address. We are disappointed with how our wedding planner made it difficult to get the amount of coverage we expected during our ceremony due to rushing Jessi and our videographer. What photos we did get we do love, we're just really disappointed with how the day went and the amount of coverage we lost on our wedding day. I do think Jessi is a good photographer and her work is amazing, it's just unfortunate that we did not get the quality of service we expected and see other wedding clients of hers receive.
