We got married at the Woodstock Inn this past October, and hiring Jenn as our photographer was truly one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire planning process. Her photos speak for themselves—she has a remarkable ability to capture not only stunning formal portraits but, even more importantly, the quiet, candid moments that make a wedding day so meaningful.

From our engagement shoot through the entire wedding weekend, I was continually in awe of Jenn’s intuition. She has a gift for reading the room, blending seamlessly into the flow of events, and capturing the true essence of each moment. Her knowledge of the area was invaluable; she arrived with thoughtful ideas for locations and shots, yet remained completely open and flexible with ours as well.

Jenn’s gentle, quiet presence was a welcome contrast to many wedding photographers we’ve encountered. She brought a sense of calm that my husband and I appreciated immensely, helping us feel at ease and fully present throughout the day.

When we look back on our wedding, Jenn’s kindness, flexibility, and incredible talent stand out just as much as the photos themselves. We are so grateful to have had her as part of our day.

Jen has an amazing eye for color and space. She is able to capture both the big moments and the small ones the you might not have realized we’re important at the time. Jen took the time to get to know my husband and I ahead of time, which eased our comfort in front the camera and also helped her know what was important to us as a couple. We had a mixture of group photos and candid photos, both were captured beautifully. I would definitely recommend Jen for your big day!

Please do yourself a favor and book Jennifer McKenna as your wedding photographer. She is truly amazing. My husband and I initially fell in love with her photography style, but then we quickly fell in love with her personality upon booking and getting to know her. We also found out that we attended the same college, so that was an added bonus for me! We were able to meet her before our wedding day on a weekend trip to Vermont and loved her happy and kind energy. We did an impromptu engagement session with our dog, my brother, his girlfriend and their dog, and had such a blast together! The photos also came out beautifully and made us so excited for the big day! We also hired a second photographer through Jen, which I would highly recommend doing. Jen brought along Jess, who spent a lot of time with the guys while they were getting ready. They hit it off immediately, bonding over their affinity for Phish, and hanging out during a laid back photoshoot. Jess was able to capture different perspectives, which we really appreciated. What a great team they made! The photos speak for themselves, but what you might not know is that you’re also getting an amazing person with access to a wonderful network of second shooters, a true professional in every sense of the word, someone who will put you at ease during the hectic frenzy that can accompany a wedding day, someone who sticks to a schedule but who can easily and quickly adapt to changing circumstances so that nothing gets missed, and someone who strikes the perfect balance of being tucked away unobtrusively in the background of your wedding, yet still right there whenever you need to capture that special moment. Jen and Jess captured moments that I had forgotten and really conveyed the unbelievable beauty of our venue and the love around us all that day. Hiring Jen was one of our best wedding decisions and we cannot recommend her more highly. We just received some of our sneak peak photos (posted here) and are completely in awe.
