We would definitely recommend Jen Madigan. We LOVE the photos she took of our wedding and she was really fun and easy to have around throughout the day.

Jen and Josh were so easy to work with! We had a lot of fun taking our photos with them on our wedding day. We haven't seen them all yet, but the few we have, are great! She knew some great places near our venue to sneak away to and get some creative shots that I don't think we could have come up with. The formals went quickly and easily.

We also did an engagement session, and those turned out great! We even brought 2 of our dogs (who were little monsters the whole time UGH), and she handled it without a problem!

I would highly recommend Jen Madigan! She is a great photographer, with a great personality and she definitely knows what she's doing! Very fun to work with.

Jen was absolutely amazing! I cannot give her enough complements because she made our wedding day easy and the pictures were gorgeous. She was very laid back and flexible. I almost didn't notice she was there most of the day. We had beautiful pictures from the ceremony and I didn't even see her team walking around, they did not interfere at all. Our third outdoor location shoot was quick because our day was so hot. She didn't keep us outside longer than we needed to be and we still have so many great pictures. I can't recommend Jen Madigan enough! Best wedding photographer by far in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area. She is worth every penny!!!

Jen is a fantastic photographer and a wonderful person, and I am so glad we found her for our wedding. We spoke with many photographers but the search was over after our meeting with Jen because I could tell right away that she would be the perfect person to photograph our big day.

We did an engagement session with Jen and her husband, Josh (a great second shooter), the fall before our wedding. I am so glad we had the opportunity to get to know them a little before the wedding, plus the photos were gorgeous! They are incredibly nice and just so great at putting everyone at ease - our smiles and laughs in our photos look so natural because they are. We had so much fun!

When we saw them again at the wedding it was like greeting old friends, and we were so comfortable having them around documenting the day. They were so organized with lists that the photos went more quickly than anyone expected (our wedding party and family members were very impressed with the lack of waiting around time).

I didn't live in the area while I was planning my wedding, but Jen is super easy to get & stay in contact with even from afar - she is really good about responding to emails and always had super advice and tips if I had questions about absolutely anything. She was always willing to set up a meeting and work around when I would be in town. Even though I know she is a busy person, she was always great about making everything feel so personal. I truly believe she deeply cares about each and every one of her clients, and it definitely shines through in the care she takes in crafting relationships and capturing beautiful moments.
Jen's kindhearted personality and artistic eye are perfect for this career and I can't wait to book her again!
