We selected James Barrett as our engagement photographer, and we couldn't be happier with his work and his professionalism. James was laid back and fun to work with; he put us at ease and made us comfortable in front of the camera and throughout the process. He is a talented and unique photographer with a great aesthetic and we are thrilled with our photos. Couples cannot go wrong with James -- and he's great with families, too -- he came highly recommended to me from several friends who have utilized his services for toddler and family shoots. 5 stars all the way around!

Choosing James Barrett to be our photographer was the most valuable wedding choice we made! We look like models in our photos and the entire process was delightful. James is easy to be around and makes you feel comfortable quickly. He has an incredibly artistic eye and he was able to capture our personalities and the "feel" of our big day within each photo without being overly trendy. He has classy taste and his style will surpass the times. His photos truly look magazine worthy and he delivered an abundance of gorgeous pictures! Also, he was able to impromptu devise backgrounds as weather/plans changed. Our perfect wedding day passed far too quickly, so I would argue the most important vendor is your photographer. Not only is James an INCREDIBLY talented photographer, he is an absolute joy to work with! He is so nice and easy going, with a great sense of humor that makes every photo session a fun experience. He strikes a great balance between incorporating your ideas and providing his own. He does a lot of research beforehand so that he is prepared with the best shots and the best lighting during your session. His dedication to and passion for his work come through in every session and of course in the finished product. We used James for our engagement photos, our wedding and our wedding album, and he never fails to impress us! James is personable and professional. It is extremely easy to work with him. He will accommodate any of your requests. We first found james through a living social voucher for our engagement photo-shoot, which we really liked. My husband Mark and I were very pleased to have him photograph our wedding as well - even after Mark let James know we had all the pictures we wanted at the end of the reception, and that he could go, James stuck around to capture even more moments. He was friendly with the guests, who after the wedding told me that they enjoyed his company and posing for pictures. From our littlest one- our 5 year old flower girl who interacted with him, to our eldest ones, James got along with everyone and made us all enjoy the day even more.

You can't go wrong with James! He's so much fun! And his photography is gorgeous. He shot both our engagement and wedding photos and we couldn't be happier with the results. He's the best!
