WHO IS THE JAMAICAN WEDDING GUITARIST?

As a full-time freelance musician based in Jamaica, Chris' professional musicianship has taken him all over the world. Sought after for his soulful playing style, he has recorded and toured with numerous well-acclaimed recording artistes. Along with his successes on big stages, he also has a passion for smaller intimate settings such as weddings .

Chris plays practically any song on the guitar, with a smooth but yet dynamic approach. He incorporates the styles of classical, Jazz, blues, reggae, soul and pop, and includes occasional percussive rhythms by tapping on the guitar's body. With such skilful delivery in performances, he leaves audiences craving for more.

Imagine the sound of a live acoustic trio. By using specialist equipment (no backing tracks) for some songs, Chris further thickens the sound with a 'looper', which gives the impression that there are more than one persons playing. The big bonus is, his equipment setup is small producing an intimate but robust sound.

Easy and smooth process

When I approached Chris on short notice with regards to entertainment for my wedding, I thought he would either charge me a ridiculous price or be unavailable. On the contrary, Chris was very accommodating and reasonably priced! He was even willing to learn the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to in 3 days. I recommend him and use him over and over again for any event

Chris is an amazing guitarist. We hired him for our wedding in August 2018 and we do not regret the investment. He was extremely professional and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. If you’re contemplating hiring a live musician for your event LOOK NO FURTHER. Chris exudes a kind of energy that can not be faked. He is a genuinely kind and gifted musician. He is EASY to work with and is extremely flexible. Chris is professional and came well prepared. He even arrived early to ensure he had time to get himself situated properly. My guests could not stop talking about his performance, truthfully a male friend was actually brought to tears by his melodious sound. No joke! From frank Sinatra to Bob Marley and even Bruno Mars, his repitoire is impressive! As a Jamaican bride living abroad I was nervous booking a musician I had never heard play or met in person... rest assured if you work with Chris every little thing will be more than alright!!!!! Thank you so very much Chris it was truly a pleasure working with you. Married in May of 2018 in Negril Jamaica

Chris is a great guitarist even learnt some new songs for us to play on our special day, so hoping he will use these again, beautiful sound from a very talented man. Chris Campbell is the most talenter guitarist I've had the pleasure to be in the company of - Chris came all the way to Ochos Rios to perform at my wedding ceremony & reception. Chris skillfully played "Canon in D" for my ceremony and it was flawless. Chris is so polite, very professional, arrived early, & had the fastest response time to all of the many questions I had, as it was my first wedding. Chris walked me through everything! I cannot rave enough about Chris - he is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I am so happy that I chose Chris over a band or a DJ, because he set the most intimate setting for my wedding. Absolutely flawless! Thank you for everything, Chris!! Would recommend 1,000% !

Chris was absolutely unbelievable and far exceeded any expectations we could have ever had. We actually lucked out finding him because I stumbled onto a clip on YouTube of him, loved what I saw and literally reached out to a stranger.

Stranger no more! Although it was a small wedding, I can tell you that every single person commented on how good he was (including the staff). Our photographer even asked for his contact information so he could use him for some event he had as well as refer him to others. My only regret is that I didn't get to spend more time listening to him perform (being the groom and all). He has this way about him in which we'd absolutely hire him for even a nice dinner with friends and certainly if we ever renew our vows.

PS - Chris himself was extremely polite, professional, flexible and seemed to genuinely enjoy his craft (music).
