The ceremony itself was absolutely beautiful, and the transition into cocktail hour and reception was seamless. The layout of the cocktail hour space was fantastic—our guests loved being able to enjoy the full bar and mingle comfortably throughout the area.
And the food… simply outstanding. Our friends and family have not stopped raving about how delicious everything was, from the passed hors d’oeuvres to the main courses. It truly exceeded expectations and left a lasting impression on everyone.

Having our wedding at Insignia was easily the best decision we made. Mirela and her team are the best of the best. Every single person involved in the day was attentive, professional and truly made for a seamless wedding day. Not a single thing went wrong and if it did, We would’ve never known! The drinks were strong and flowing all day. The torched bacon bar and sushi platters are a must have during cocktail hour. The food was absolutely amazing, Our guests keep talking about it. Mirela and her team even packed up our leftovers to take with us to our mini moon. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Its dark and moody interior makes for the best romantic atmosphere. You would’ve never known that our wedding was during the day. I wish we could re live our wedding day over and over again. We hosted 125 guests, and the layout was perfect, allowing for a seamless transition from the ceremony to the reception. The staff is incredibly attentive—they anticipated needs before we even had them! A special shout-out to “MIRELA” for coordinating with our vendors! She was there every step of the way, supporting us from the ceremony to the very end of our reception. Mirela was kind enough to hand me my lipstick when I needed it, too lol!

Any questions we had were answered, she was very attentive to every single thing down to the menu colors. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect in every single way! There were no mistakes at all! She brought my vision to life! All my guests are still raving about how fantastic the food was and how beautiful of a venue it was! Absolutely recommend!! Frankie at Top Tier entertainment was absolutely fantastic and had the party on the dance floor all night.

Choosing to have our wedding at Insignia Steakhouse was one of the smartest decisions we have ever made. Every single aspect of the day was perfect, and that was due to the attentiveness, professionalism, and skill of the Insignia staff. I was thrilled to arrive at the venue and see everything set up exactly as I imagined, and every moment— from our beautiful ceremony on the terrace to the final song of the reception— was executed flawlessly. The staff knows exactly what they are doing and they do it exceptionally well.

When it comes to the food, every single guest had rave reviews for it and the majority of them said it was not only the best *wedding* food, but the best *food* they have ever eaten. And we agree! The specific hits of the day were the torched bacon station, the Chilean sea bass, and the creamed spinach.

We also have to give a specific shoutout to our head server for the day, Anna, who was attentive and lovely and ensured we did not want for anything. And of course none of this would have been possible without Mirela, who was with us every step of the way and made the entire planning process so easy. She is amazing at her job and we are so lucky to have had her on our side ensuring everything went smoothly on our special day.

Insignia Steak House and Sushi in Smithtown is a five-star restaurant and wedding venue! My husband and I just had our wedding there on June 14, 2025, and we cannot begin to explain how amazing our wedding was!!!! The way they transformed the restaurant was magical. Food was delicious, as always!!! Mirela from Insignia was our wedding coordinator and planned everything for us; from their house photographer, North Island Photography *, their top-tier DJ service & the florist Fiori Florist. Everyone exceeded our expectations, and we were so elated when we saw the room set up for our wedding. I was in tears from when it started to when it ended. Mirela was there second to make sure everything was perfect. The tables were set and everyone was so happy!!!! I would love to give them 10 stars, not just the five on a wedding venue review. Throughout the period of being engaged leading up to the wedding, people would ask constantly, “are you nervous?” The answer from both of us was always a resounding, “no!” I didn’t usually stop to reflect on why I wasn’t nervous, figuring that if I did, I would almost certainly find a reason to be. Now that the wedding is over, the reason was obvious, and that reason’s name is Mirela.

From the very first meeting with Insignia’s wedding coordinator Mirela, she instilled in us a sense that she had our backs at any turn. Anything to be thought of was accounted for. A wedding might be the event in life with the single most amount of moving parts. Between florists, music entertainment, bakers, decorators, photographers, videographers, officiant, etc…there’s so much to think about, and these are things with which most people (especially grooms like me) have no expertise. None of that mattered though because it was obvious that Mirela not only knew who to set us up with, but that also if we wanted to go in a different direction from any of her lineup of pros, that she would still be able to point us in the right direction of what to look for in a service provider. She is your first point of contact, she checks in with you periodically to make sure everything is going smoothly with the planning, and she’s on site during the wedding to make sure everything is now going exactly as according to plan.

When we first went looking for a wedding venue on Long Island, there were so many places we saw online, and the one that stood out was Insignia Steakhouse. I’m not sure anymore if it was having the mini-mansion to ourselves without a second wedding going on or the steak and sushi or what, but it was the first venue that we went to look at. As it turns out, it would be the only place we would go to look at. Of course the outside is beautiful, as was apparent in the online images, but walking through the large sets of double doors, you’re instantly gobsmacked by the long, decorous bar and the towering wine cellar, where the newlyweds are granted access for photo opportunities on the big day. There are beautiful outdoor areas, and they can easily accommodate an indoor or outdoor ceremony.

We were shown three menus of different price points, and your guests would be lucky to have any of them. We ended up going with the “middle menu,” but there was zero sense from us or our guests that this wasn’t the best food at a wedding that we’d ever had. That comment was the same from almost every departing guest at the end of the day, “I think this was the best food that I’ve ever had at a wedding.” Sometimes people talk up the newlyweds at that moment, but I knew they were being truthful because I felt the same way. As a personal anecdote, the flaming/torched bacon add-on was maybe my favorite food of the day. I know personally that I’d never been to a wedding with so many menu options. In addition to what is overtly listed on the menu, I had guests asking me questions leading up to the wedding about their needs for being gluten free or vegan or having a digestive system that can only practically tolerate plain pasta, and when I inquired about this, Mirela’s response was that Insignia can accommodate any dietary restrictions and that guests needed only to inform the waiters. Checking in with those with unique needs afterwards, this was verified to be true.

Getting hitched, everything went off without a hitch. A question I’ve received several times from both guests and well-wishers in the days since the wedding followed something of the form of, “there’s always something that goes wrong on your wedding day, even if it’s the tiniest thing. What was that thing for you?” As I sweep through the internal collage of warm and exciting memories, there are zero complaints to be found, and if you know me, I often leave the smallest parties I throw, kicking myself for a laundry list of dumb little things that could have gone better. And so, I guess that’s the magic of having the perfect wedding planner throw your wedding in the perfect wedding venue is that none of those things could go wrong. I sincerely look forward to returning to Insignia in a year for an anniversary dinner, and if I ever receive a wedding invitation to Insignia, even from the most estranged acquaintance, I will be canceling all plans to have the proper guest experience that I know my guests received beyond a shadow of a doubt.
