Our wedding at Insignia was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we started working with Mirela, the staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. They were so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely cared about making the day special for us.
The ceremony itself was absolutely beautiful, and the transition into cocktail hour and reception was seamless. The layout of the cocktail hour space was fantastic—our guests loved being able to enjoy the full bar and mingle comfortably throughout the area.
And the food… simply outstanding. Our friends and family have not stopped raving about how delicious everything was, from the passed hors d’oeuvres to the main courses. It truly exceeded expectations and left a lasting impression on everyone.

We truly cannot put into words how incredible our wedding experience at Insignia was! From the moment we began planning to the very last moments of our wedding night, everything was nothing short of perfection. Insignia exceeded every expectation, and we could not have imagined celebrating the most important day of our lives anywhere else.

First and foremost, the biggest thank you to Mirela, our incredible maître d’! She was exceptional in every possible way. Her professionalism, organization, attention to detail, and genuine dedication to making our day perfect meant so much to us. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and ensured everything flowed effortlessly. Having Mirela by our side gave us complete peace of mind. She made us feel like our wedding was just as important to her as it was to us. Because of her, we were able to relax, be present, and enjoy every moment. We truly cannot thank her enough!

We also want to give special recognition to Anna, one of our wonderful waitresses. Anna was absolutely amazing! She was attentive, thoughtful, personable, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. Her kindness made a lasting impression.

The entire staff at Insignia deserves so much recognition. Every person we encountered was professional, welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our wedding unforgettable. From ensuring our guests were comfortable to keeping every part of the evening running smoothly, the team worked together flawlessly. Their hospitality truly sets Insignia apart.

Now, the FOOD… WOW! We knew Insignia had an incredible reputation, but our wedding exceeded even our highest expectations. From cocktail hour to dinner and desserts, everything was phenomenal. The variety, quality, freshness, flavors, and presentation were outstanding. Every dish tasted incredible. Our guests have not stopped raving about the food, and we have received countless compliments! Insignia delivered restaurant-quality dining on a wedding scale, which is no small accomplishment.

The ambiance and atmosphere were equally breathtaking. Insignia has a beautiful combination of elegance, warmth, romance, and sophistication. The setting created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Everything felt luxurious yet intimate, and from the lighting to the energy of the room, the entire evening felt magical.

We decided to book our wedding at Insignia the same night we attended our good friends’ wedding there in June. Some might wonder, “Why would you have your wedding at a steakhouse?” Honestly, the better question is: Why would you not have your wedding here?
Coming from Italian families, we know good food. But finding a steakhouse with exceptional cuisine, a romantic atmosphere, wonderful service, and such a personal touch is truly special. Insignia gave us all of that and so much more.
From the beginning of the planning process through our wedding day, Mirela, the Director of Banquet Sales, and her entire team went above and beyond. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and cared for. It truly feels like one big family, and that warmth is genuine. Mirela didn’t just coordinate our wedding; she genuinely cared about making it beautiful and meaningful for us. I handmade our table cards, purchased my own centerpieces, and brought a lemon cart for my homemade limoncello. I sent Mirela pictures and explained exactly how I wanted everything arranged, and she and her team brought my vision to life perfectly. Nothing was overlooked.
Our outdoor ceremony was beautiful, surrounded by well-maintained grounds and landscaping. The flower wall served as a stunning focal point and backdrop for pictures. Because the entire restaurant was closed for our wedding, the experience felt private and intimate. Mirela also helped us create his-and-hers specialty cocktails for cocktail hour, even having the bartender prepare samples so we could make sure they were perfect. Our guests loved them, along with the seafood tower, sushi, Wagyu sliders, torched bacon, and other delicious hors d’oeuvres.
Before the wedding, our friends told us, “Just wait until you see what Mirela does for you when everyone sits down to dinner.” They were right. She prepared a special table for us by the bar, complete with an incredible spread of food from cocktail hour. She made us feel like royalty. Dinner was just as impressive. The ribeye, Tomahawk for Two, lobster, filet mignon, Bronzino, and everything else were outstanding. The steaks were cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and so generously sized that our guests were taking pictures of them. Mirela even customized our reception menus to match our bridal theme, adding another beautiful and personal touch. Our guests are still talking about the food, the music, and how much fun they had dancing. Insignia provided the perfect setting for everything to come together and create a celebration everyone will remember.
After the wedding was over, Mirela carefully put everything away so we could return and pick it up. That thoughtfulness meant so much to us.
Mirela, thank you for your kindness, patience, and dedication throughout the entire process. Wedding planning can be stressful, and I know I wanted every detail to be just right. You handled everything with such care and helped turn that stress into the most beautiful day for Sebastiano and me. We will always be grateful.

From the beginning of the wedding planning process until our special day- we knew that we could depend on Mirela for her detail oriented mind and perfect execution of our needs and wants!! Insignia is an excellent choice for couples who want something different than a typical wedding venue. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! I have been to many weddings and no matter how luxurious the accommodations were- I have never had food like this at a wedding!! Our guests were raving about the made to order entrees and the cocktail hour options and the SUSHI!!!! This place is gorgeous. I wish I could have my wedding all over again!!! Even during a Nor'easter the wedding was perfect- everything went as planned with seamless execution. We had so much fun and still dreaming about the food!!!! Looking forward to anniversary dinners here. The service- the staff is just amazing. There is nothing I would change about our day. It was perfection

We absolutely loved our reception at Insignia. It was a perfect day, and I would encourage everyone to have their wedding reception here! My husband and I did not have a bridal party and opted to skip most traditional things done at a wedding (i.e. dancing with parents, garter, bouquet toss, etc.). Everyone was open to what we wanted, and all staff happily accommodated what we asked for. Mirela, our maitre' D and event organizer, was a pleasure to work with. When I arrived at the venue, she even offered to help me with the bustle for my dress. Communication during the planning phase was consistent and clear. The food was outstanding, and you will go home with delicious leftovers. Go for the platinum package - you won't regret it! I would highly recommend ordering the cookies and donuts as your wedding favors. There were so many great photo opportunities in this beautiful venue. As a nontraditional bride, I am so happy we chose this venue. Your dreams will come true and go beyond what you imagine at Insignia!

Having our wedding at Insignia was easily the best decision we made. Mirela and her team are the best of the best. Every single person involved in the day was attentive, professional and truly made for a seamless wedding day. Not a single thing went wrong and if it did, We would’ve never known! The drinks were strong and flowing all day. The torched bacon bar and sushi platters are a must have during cocktail hour. The food was absolutely amazing, Our guests keep talking about it. Mirela and her team even packed up our leftovers to take with us to our mini moon. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Its dark and moody interior makes for the best romantic atmosphere. You would’ve never known that our wedding was during the day. I wish we could re live our wedding day over and over again. Thank you so much to every single staff member at Insignia who made the day what it was! We are truly grateful!

If you are looking for a venue that combines stunning beauty with stress-free planning, Insignia Steakhouse in Smithtown is it! We hosted 125 guests, and the layout was perfect, allowing for a seamless transition from the ceremony to the reception. The staff is incredibly attentive—they anticipated needs before we even had them! A special shout-out to “MIRELA” for coordinating with our vendors! She was there every step of the way, supporting us from the ceremony to the very end of our reception. Mirela was kind enough to hand me my lipstick when I needed it, too lol!
The food was incredible, and our guests are still raving about the high-class selection, decor, & the smooth transition from the wedding ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception room!
