Iburi Photography was so amazing for our engagement and wedding day photos. We really enjoy candid shots (and I love me a good black and white photo), and so we were immediately drawn by their portfolio. My husband and I both consider ourselves pretty awkward in front of a camera, but Akari and Shin really made us feel at ease and we had so much fun with them. They are both so thoughtful and helped out on our big day by being flexible with a couple schedule changes and even helping to moving tables off the dance floor! I highly recommend the package that comes with prints and an exquisite photo book, you will not regret it. All in all, I’m so glad we found Iburi Photography for our wedding, I can’t imagine working with anyone else!

I’ve tried and am convinced there’s no way to fully capture how amazing Iburi Photography is without writing a full novel so strap in lol. I’ll start with the fangirling, we worked with Akari and not only is she insanely talented, super sweet, and all around an amazing human she’s very much the type of person I would pay to be my best friend given the chance because she is so fun to be around! I seriously love this girl and feel like we’ve gained the coolest friend, which as hidden benefits of hiring a wedding photographer go I feel “unlocking secret friendships” has to rank pretty highly. My husband and I are both awkward introverts but felt so comfortable during our engagement shoot with Akari, it honestly felt like we were all just hanging out. That energy carried through our wedding day as well and brought a lot of comfort to anxious moments! She was somehow everywhere all at once, never missing a moment and our family and friends loved her just as much as we did! Logistically, working with Iburi Photography was a dream as well! The communication was unparalleled, any questions we had were answered quickly and completely, pricing was transparent, meetings were regular, all important information and documents were in our profile on their site, she worked seamlessly with our videographer (Brad with Journeymen Studio!) and it was all so insanely impressive! And, while I’ve only shared a few here, the photos truly speak for themselves! The passion and the pure skill are undeniable, as many words as I’ve written here could never be enough to describe the awe we felt in seeing these photos. There was a level of anxiety for me in being a plus size bride, I don’t often see people who look like me represented and have a great deal of confidence issues as a result- but I have never in my life felt as beautiful as when I saw these photos. I see myself with kinder eyes, I see myself the way my husband sees me every day- and that alone is priceless. The way she captured the love between us, between our loved ones, the romance, the silliness… it was nothing short of pure magic. I wholeheartedly recommend Iburi Photography with every fiber of my being (and I’m not just saying that because Akari is #bestiegoals)

I can’t say enough amazing things about our wedding photographers Iburi Photography!!! They have been amazing since our first meeting. There was no extra stress from them when we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid, Akari traveled to Ithaca, NY for our engagement pictures with no problem, and then on our wedding day they were absolutely amazing 💕. Then all the little things they have done while we were working with them down to giving our wedding photos and thumb drive in the beautiful wooden box. If you’re looking for a photographer for any reason I can’t say enough positive things about them. Oh and one more thing our wedding photos turned out stunning and they really captured our day perfectly!!!

I cannot say enough about brother and sister team Shin and Akari. They are so professional, accommodating, and sweet. They were a joy to have with us on our wedding day. Shin and his sister, Akari were our two photographers on the day of our wedding. From the very first time we met, Shin and Akari were a pleasure to spend time with. They were professional but fun and their photography style was just what we wanted. They blended my traditional ideas with their creative ones to form the most beautiful pictures! Their wedding package was affordable and very competitive with the other ones we were quoted. But they offered so much more! We had an engagement shoot with Shin and it was a lot of fun. We felt relaxed and comfortable with him. They also arrived at the rehearsal, which I had forgotten all about! And on the day of our wedding they arrived bright and early to get pictures of the girls and guys getting ready. Shin received a photo list of all the pictures that were important to me on the day of our wedding and incorporated his fun ideas to make the day really special for us and our wedding party. They didn't mind escaping for a few minutes while we had a beautiful sunset picture taken of my husband and I. They were so easy going but still very professional. I would recommend them for any occasion....you will NOT be disappointed!
