What is the story behind BGF Photography?
BGF Photography is a wedding photographer based in Buffalo, New York. We shoot weddings in Buffalo, Rochester and the Finger Lakes regions.
My wedding photography focuses on capturing the candid, fleeting emotions that make each celebration unique. I aim to preserve genuine smiles, joyful tears, and intimate glances in their most natural form. This approach allows me to create timeless memories that reflect the true essence of your special day.
Services Offered
We provide wedding photography services throughout Western New York, Rochester and the Finger Lakes regions. Whether you're looking for a photographer to shoot a romantic elopement or a grand soiree, I will bring our signature journalistic style to your big day. I prefer to let the story of your wedding unfold naturally, with candid photos of you and your guests celebrating, but I will also guide my couples for portraits and important group shots.
They also offer full videography as an add-on to their photography packages! You can choose from 3-6 minute highlight films, 9-15 minute featurettes, or 30-60 minute full-length cinematic films. They are perfect if you want a beautiful recap of your wedding day without needing a full videography team. Highlight films focus on the most meaningful moments, like your vows, candid emotions, and stunning visuals. Full-length films are produced similarly, but also include full segments of the most important parts of the day, like first look, ceremony, introductions, first dances, speeches, and more.
Packages with BGF Photography are customizable and can include:

Best Decision You'll Make
There are special individuals that when you watch them work you can tell how passionate they are, how much they enjoy what their doing, and it translates into the quality of their work - Billy is one of these people. Billy ended up being the only photographer we met with and based on our meeting, how organized, experienced, and simply his vibes, we did not hesitate to book him right away. Leading up to our wedding, Billy met with us to go over our timeline and gave us some great advice (remember to leave time to eat!), which we incorporated into our day and we're so glad we did. Billy's platform is easy to navigate and extremely transparent in terms of what his style is and what he delivers. On the day of our wedding, Billy was kind, funny, extremely communicative and honestly was the one who kept our timeline going. He knows exactly when to give direction and when to let the moments naturally happen. Billy does not only bring his photography, but an experience with special features he provides to his couples. We are extremely happy with our photos and couldn't have asked for a better photographer, as well as someone who helped make it the best day of our lives. It truly left an impression on us and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is looking for photographer/videographer!

Could Not Recommend More!
We truly cannot recommend Billy enough! He was absolutely incredible from start to finish and went above and beyond to accommodate everything we wanted for our wedding day. He traveled between our getting-ready locations, captured every part of the day, and was with us for 12+ hours — never once making us feel rushed or like anything was too much.
What we appreciated most was how comfortable Billy made us feel. Neither of us ever felt like we had to “pose” or be anything other than ourselves. He fit seamlessly into the day, made us laugh, kept things relaxed, and somehow captured all of the little moments we didn’t even realize were happening.
He was incredibly attentive to our vision and needs while also knowing exactly when to step in and when to let a moment happen naturally. Our photos are absolutely beautiful, but even more than that, we are so grateful for the experience of having Billy there with us. He helped make our wedding day feel effortless, fun, and completely true to us. We are beyond grateful for everything he did and could not recommend him more!

Best Wedding Photographer Ever!
We could not have asked for a better photography team for our wedding! From start to finish, they were professional, personable, kind, and made everyone feel so comfortable. We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing they were!
They did an incredible job keeping the day on track while capturing all of the special moments we wanted. Everyone loved the photo slideshows throughout the night, and it was so cool to have photos printed and available so quickly. We would recommend them to anyone without hesitation! We already received our wedding photos back, and they are absolutely amazing! We are so happy with how beautifully they captured our day!

Can’t recommend enough!
Billy and BGF Photography were nothing short of amazing. From our first planning phone call it was evident that Billy was going to be the perfect fit for us. His experience made everything regarding pictures seamless rather than stressful. We are so happy that the pictures from our special day came out as wonderful as they did. Every shot we could’ve wanted was perfect and the candids from throughout the night are everything we wanted. The video he put together for us was so beautiful and thoughtful. It’s pretty clear Billy has a great handle on wedding photography and we couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone looking for a true professional.

We were in Niagara Falls for our destination wedding, so we didn’t get the chance to meet Billy beforehand, and honestly? We were a little nervous about that at first! But once the day arrived, we genuinely forgot we had just met him. That’s how effortlessly he blended in and made us feel comfortable.
Not only is he ridiculously talented (our photos are jaw-droppingly good — like, how is this our real life?!), but his creative eye and attention to detail are on another level. He floated around our wedding with multiple cameras like a storytelling ninja, never missing a beat, a tear, or an unhinged dance move.
And the best part? Billy made it all so fun. He wasn’t just our photographer — he was our hype man, our calm in the chaos, and honestly, a big part of why our day felt so joyful and relaxed. His energy is contagious, and his passion for what he does absolutely shines through in every single photo.
