Hotel Playa Fiesta – A Wedding Groups Only Hotel

As a recent bride who got married at Playa Fiesta, I’ve put off writing this review because I genuinely didn’t know how to put into words just how incredible our experience was, or how much the staff contributed to making it the best week of our lives.

When I first started looking at venues, I couldn’t believe how many amazing reviews Playa Fiesta had. I honestly wondered if they could all be real because I thought "there is no way a place can actually be this good.”

Well, the reviews are absolutely real. Playa Fiesta is everything people say it is and much much more.

We cannot thank Lindsay, Adam, Gabi, Charlie, Yasmin and Pato (plus the rest of the staff) enough for making this the best week of our lives. There is something so special about having all of your favorite people together in one place for 4-5 days, and our friends and family can't stop raving about it to this day. Two of our guests have even asked if they can book their own wedding there, which we very much hope they do so we have an excuse to go back!

A few things that stood out:

Food & dietary accommodations: We had guests with celiac, vegetarian diets, and severe nut allergies, and Playa Fiesta accommodated everyone perfectly. The food was beyond our expectations, and the chefs deserve a huge shoutout.

Planning: The team makes the planning process incredibly organized with workbooks and clear options, and respond to any question with record breaking time. There are a lot of decisions, but everything is easy to understand, and they are great about helping you work within your budget. This was especially appreciated by a type-B bride like myself!

The people: Lindsay has over two decades of wedding experience and thinks of things you would never even consider. Adam was incredibly patient with our million questions, and you can tell how much he genuinely cares about everyone's experience. And Charlie makes the best drinks imaginable. I still miss his spicy margaritas!

The wedding day: Our ceremony was perfect, the dinner was exceptional, and the DJ absolutely nailed the music. We had some rain during the reception, but there was still plenty of room to dance under the covered platform, while others chose to dance in the rain, which ended up being SO much fun. I also loved that the team saved our dinner and wedding cake for us afterward since we were too caught up in the day to eat much.

The rooms & location: The rooms were each so beautiful and unique, and very clean with daily housekeeping. The wedding suite was beyond gorgeous and HUGE. Playa Fiesta is in a beautiful, lush, and safe part of Puerto Vallarta while still being close to the Romantic Zone, which was our favorite area to explore. It also rests on a hidden beach that was never busy and almost felt like our own private beach.

Overall Guest Experience: One of the most special things about Playa Fiesta is how much closer your friends and family become throughout the week. Having everyone together creates such a unique experience. I was initially anxious about asking everyone to travel to another country and spend the money, but after seeing/hearing how much everyone enjoyed the trip, I no longer feel any guilt. It was absolutely worth it.

I could go on and on, but if you are considering Playa Fiesta for your wedding, the reviews are true. The team goes above and beyond to make the entire experience incredibly special, and we are so grateful we got to celebrate there. We can't wait to go back one day, and hope this review helps anyone who is considering this amazing place as their venue!

Guys, do you want the most logistically transparent, stress free wedding you can have without compromising any quality or FUN, while ALSO satisfying everything your fiance wants? Of course you do, so choose Hotel Playa Fiesta. They start out by sending a hyper organized excel sheet delineating every single choice you could ever make for your wedding day. You can make it as turn-key or as custom as you like and all pricing is very clear (and VERY reasonable compared to similar in the USA anyway). So while your fiance is dreaming about her perfect day and all you can see is the $$ spinning up, you can at least be assured that there are NO surprises as the day arrives. Further, if you do have questions, Lindsey and Adam and the rest of the team at HPF will take however much time is necessary to explain, walkthrough and make you feel reassured this is the place to start forever. They stay on top of everything that needs to be handled and work with you (read: your fiance), to make sure everything is planned and ready to go for the big day/week.

Once you arrive, you are treated like royalty. You OWN that hotel (for 4 days at least). Everyone there knows all guests should be treated special (this is a special week!) but man do they really go out of their way for the bride and groom! Whether its keeping a drink in your hand for the week or making sure all your belongings that you drunkenly left around the hotel grounds end up back in your room on your wedding night, you do not have to worry about ANYTHING except having the best damn week of your life with all of your favorite people!

We stumbled across Hotel Playa Fiesta right here on WeddingWire and figured no place could actually live up to that many five-star reviews... We were wrong!

We booked sight unseen and it turned out to be the best decision we made for our whole wedding. The photos genuinely don't do it justice. It's stunning in person, and having the entire place private, just for us and our guests, made the whole week feel like ours. Lindsay, Adam, Gabi, and the team took care of everything from day one. Questions got answered fast, guests with all kinds of special accommodations were handled seamlessly, and so much happened behind the scenes that we never had to stress about a thing. That's the part that meant the most. We actually got to be present and soak up the week instead of putting out fires. The food was incredible too, some of the best we've had.

We came in with high hopes and still left with more than we imagined. If you're on the fence, don't be. Thank you Lindsay, Adam, and the whole Playa Fiesta team for a week we'll never forget.

Instead of a few hours celebrating with our favorite people, we got an unforgettable vacation with all of our closest friends and family. The staff at Hotel Playa Fiesta is absolutely incredible. They learned everyone's names, treated every guest like family, and made us feel so cared for from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The level of hospitality is something we'll never forget.
And the setting is simply stunning. Every view feels like a postcard, making every event—and every candid photo—look incredible.

I went to Playa Fiesta as a guest for my friends' wedding in 2024, and my now husband and I had such an amazing time that when we got engaged, we decided we wanted to go back, even if that meant waiting 20 months for our wedding to happen. WORTH IT!!

I cannot think of a single bad thing to say about this venue. The location is incredible, right on the water and somewhat secluded, but with easy and close access to town. The rooms are unbelievably clean. and most are spacious and have an ocean view.

The experience of renting out a small boutique hotel for only your guests is truly a special experience, and the perfect way for all your guests to get to know one another.

Although the venue and location itself is amazing, what really makes the experience at Playa Fiesta unforgettable is the staff. First of all, the planning process with Lindsay and Gabi couldn't have been easier. They have their system down to a tee and work like a well oiled machine. I don't think there was a single email that I sent without a response within the hour. In addition, the on site servers and bartenders are one of a kind, keeping drinks full, guests happy, and remembering everyone's names.

I was the third of my friends to get married here and I hope I am not the last! I can't wait to have another opportunity to visit and celebrate at Playa Fiesta!!!

Playa fiesta is not your ordinary wedding venue. It's an experience, not just for the bride and groom but for everyone in attendance. Putting together a destination wedding is quite the obstacle. The staff here makes the entire experience stress free and ENJOYABLE! I cannot recommend them enough. We had so much fun as guests at our friends wedding that my now wife and I decided to bring it back. If you are looking for a stunning venue that accommodates all of your requests, look no further. First off, the AMAZING team! I’ll start with Lindsey and Adam, the owners of the resort: they are a DREAM to work with. We are so grateful for how magical they helped our wedding be. And once we were at Playa Fiesta, we simultaneously felt this great combination of being ‘part of the gang’ but also absolutely special/pampered. Everyone who works there is at the top of their game and SO kind. They really make you feel so supported throughout the whole process. I was blown away by their hospitality.

Location
We had guests who wanted a bit of everything. Some wanted to get out and explore Puerto Vallarta, and PF is perfect for that with Zona Romantica being super easy to get to (about a 10 min drive). Others wanted to stay on the property and relax, which was also great especially with the property being right on a beautiful beach!

The Space
Playa Fiesta’s vibes are impeccable. Having the whole resort for just your wedding group is a gamechanger. It made everyone want to instantly get to know other guests because there was no guessing that everyone there was there for our wedding. The shared spaces are beautifully designed with plenty of little alcoves and comfy couches for private moments, while still being part of a larger beautiful space. Every room is gorgeous, feeling modern but also perfect for Mexico. It felt like they also took maintenance very seriously, because the property was meticulously maintained. The restaurant was delicious!! Honestly one of my favorite parts was breakfast every morning, sooo good!

Choose your own adventure
The Playa Fiesta team supports in planning everything from start to finish. Their method is very ‘choose your own adventure’ where they offer different vendors to work with and “add on” experiences for your guests. They also are really supportive of bringing in your own unique elements/surprises and helped bring them to life. In terms of their vendors, they do have a policy of only working with vendors they recommend, which at first I wasn’t the biggest fan of. But after experiencing everything that goes into planning the week, I now understand how important it is to Playa Fiesta to make sure your experience at your wedding is top notch, and they guarantee that through their wonderful vendors. Our florals were stunning. The classical duo was amazing. Our photographer was wonderful. Our videographer killed it. Everyone was the best!

The best guest experience
The whole experience felt like a luxury vacation for all our guests, while allowing them a ton of time to get to know each other in advance of the big day and also time afterwards. We are so happy with all the connections that were made because they were given the time for their friendships to really grow. It’s one of our favorite things after our wedding: seeing all the friendships and connections that resulted from it.

Considering the cost
I know a big component of choosing a wedding venue is the cost. A good thing about PF is the ‘choose your own adventure’ style because it helps you to pick what works for your budget. That said, I must admit, Playa Fiesta was a splurge for us from a budget perspective. We ended up spending more than we thought we would on our wedding BUT the best part is: I have zero buyer’s remorse. The week was the best experience of my life so far and every penny was well worth it.

We booked this venue sight unseen risky yes but something about the idea to put all of our family and friends in one place for a destination wedding felt right!

I am so happy I went with my gut because Hotel Playa Fiesta was beyond my wildest dreams! The venue itself is magical you are just steps from the ocean and each room is spacious and clean with breathtaking views of Puerto Vallarta.

They are amazing at what they do so responsive to any and all questions nothing is too big or small for them to tackle. On wedding day they were a well oiled machine everything felt so effortless and as a Bride I was able to enjoy myself and embrace the day!

The food is incredible our guests still message me about the Chilaquiles in the morning and the 4 course dinner we served at the wedding! The wedding cake I still dream about to this day.

The staff is what makes this place amazing they take the time to know each guests name and drink order they make sure to keep the energy and vibes up the whole time.

To any Brides that are uncertain is this place to good to be true I get it but go with your gut take this as a sign you won’t regret it!

Booking a destination wedding venue without seeing it in person can definitely feel stressful, but once we visited a year before the wedding, we immediately knew we made the right decision. The views from every part of the property are absolutely breathtaking and the atmosphere feels intimate, peaceful, and unforgettable.
