Owner Jacob Kennedy got into the business after performing at a family member’s wedding and hearing how much their DJ charged. As someone who got married young, Jacob understood what it was like to be on a budget and the importance of affordable yet high-quality services. He decided to start his own company in order to offer other couples impeccable DJ performances paired with reasonable prices. This professional cares deeply about fitting into your celebration and will work hard to bring you the soundtrack you desire.
Services Offered
Jacob is a perfectionist who will go above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect for your special day. Hoosier Live’s DJ packages come with a minimum of four hours, no time limit, and include ceremony and reception music. He can also perform live music for two hours and rent out audio equipment. Jacob has more than 15 years of experience running sound at live events and looks forward to making your wedding everything you ever dreamed of.

Failed to provide DJ services
I booked Hoosier Live for my wedding. Jacob required a 50% ($500) deposit at the time of booking to hold the date. He seemed like a great fit at first, but his response rate and communication worsened as we got closer to the wedding. A few months before the wedding, I reached out to finalize details and was unable to get in touch. His email bounced back and both phone numbers I had for him were disconnected. After multiple attempts to contact him through Instagram Messenger, where I had had success contacting him previously, and via snail mail, he still did not respond. He ended up ghosting me and not fulfilling his contract to provide DJ services. I have been trying to get our initial $500 deposit back for months and still cannot get a response. We ended up having to hire a different DJ.
