About this venue
McVey Homestead is a historic property in Montana's Bitterroot Valley where weddings become weekends, and weekends become the kind of memories families talk about for decades.
This isn't a barn (although we have one). It's a historic homestead — 1897 farmhouse, two-story Heritage Barn, a 165-year-old willow tree that's seen a thousand stories. Watched over by the Bitterroot Mountains doing the whole majestic mountain backdrop thing. The whole property is exclusively yours from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
We built McVey for couples who don't want a wedding day. They want a wedding gathering. The kind where Grandpa brings the lager, the kids run barefoot, the first dance leads to the dancing, and quiet moments with your closest humans around the fire after everyone has left.
Every package includes:
- Exclusive use of the entire property — barn, willow, gardens, ceremony lawn, fire pit, dining hall
- A 2- (or 4-) night stay in the farmhouse (sleeps 6) — you're already there, no rush, to travel coordination
- Free on-site camping and RV space for extended family and friends who feel like family
- 1,000+ curated décor pieces, vintage furniture, ceremony arches, and reception seating for up to 160 guests
- Setup, day-of support, and cleanup — you show up, we handle the rest
- One flat rate. No hidden fees.
Three ways to celebrate:
- Thursday–Saturday ($6,750) — a long weekend with your people
- Saturday–Monday ($7,750) — start with the celebration, end with a brunch sendoff
- The McVey Retreat: Thursday–Monday ($12,000) — five days, four nights, all of it yours
"It was dreamy, everything felt effortless, like we were taken care of all along the way. Not having the hassle or added expenses of everything else that gets tacked on later took all the stress out of planning and budgeting — I felt way more relaxed by the time my wedding actually came around."
— J & P, July 2024
