My husband's family is Anglican while my family is Catholic. We originally decided not to have a church wedding, but while driving past this church, changed our minds. It's Episcopalian, which is the American equivalent of Anglican. The church itself is stunning! The stone building was built in 1712 and it sits right on the water. Rev. Gates was fantastic too. It's not typical for the parish to conduct a wedding outside its members, but as we are actually from Sydney, Australia, Rev. Gates accommodated our request to perform the ceremony. We had the "loveboat" wedding (his words, not ours) and it was great!
