Facilities and Capacity
The Hilton Wilmington/ Christiana has a total of 9,000 square feet of space. There are both indoor and uncovered outdoor options which can be enjoyed with up to 180 of your friends and family. Both the patio and courtyard spaces add a romantic touch. The Patio, which can accommodate from 100 to 150 guests, gives you and your guests pond and fountain backdrops. The Courtyard, which can accommodate a bit more guests with its capacity for 120 to 180, features an abundance of fresh herbs and vegetables. If you would like a stylish indoor site, you can use the Christina Ballroom, which features stunning 12-foot ceilings. This space is also quite flexible and can be modified depending on whether you want one big space or three smaller spaces. There is also another ballroom, Le Chameleon Ballroom, which gives the wedding party access to the Patio. These spaces all feature a modern and chic style which will compliment your wedding and reception. Couples and guests can also spend the night at the hotel in the renovated guest rooms. During your stay, you can even bring along your pets.
The team at the Hilton Wilmington/ Christiana provide each couple with a bridal attendant to make sure all their needs are taken care of. Each wedding package includes many items and services to make sure you have everything you need to experience a stunning ceremony and reception. Meet Jessica! Jessica has worked in the Sales & Catering Department of the Hilton Christiana since 2017. In March of 2021, Jessica married her husband, James, right at her very workplace. Her ceremony was held in our outdoor Courtyard, and reception in our Christiana Ballroom. Jessica is the perfect person to walk you through having YOUR wedding at our property!
Robert graduated from The Restaurant School in Philadelphia. After an apprenticeship at La Truffe, Chef Robert began his culinary career that would span 26 years and include Hyatt Regency Princeton and Hyatt Regency Cherry Hill, and the opening of Hyatt Regency Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia. Chef Robert brought his expertise and creative flare to the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City where he opened four new upscale restaurants; Michael Patrick’s Brassiere, Wine and Wi-Fi Lounge, Bean and Bread, and Lillie’s Red Sushi. Today as an award-winning chef, Robert has made his home here at the Christiana Hilton and our restaurant, Market Kitchen & Bar.
Chef Robert has received the following awards; American Culinary Federation Chef of the Year, Best Dish in New Jersey Food and Wine, Bronze Medal in Culinary Chocolate Competition at Jacob Javits Center, and Manager of the Year Hyatt Regency Princeton on two occasions.
He brings over 26 years of meticulously crafted upscale American cuisine, combined with his original, innovative style of emphasizing regional culinary practices.
