I was so excited when I saw that Heavenly's cupcake prices were so reasonable compared to bakeries in the Des Moines area. The prices were right, and there were tons of flavor options. However, that excitement fizzled when we went in for a tasting. Most of the cupcakes did not live up to my expectations. The red velvet was dry, and when we asked if we could add a filling (my husband was set on red velvet), she went on the defensive. Instead of addressing our question (Can we add a filling?), she went into what the red velvet is made of, how you either like it or you don't, and never once answered our question. We went with the red velvet, vanilla bean, and chocolate fudge with raspberry buttercream, because my husband wanted red velvet so much. I was not looking forward to hearing the complaints from my wedding guests. The day of, the red velvet surprised mr. The lady must have done something differently, because I actually got really positive comments on them.

The cake looked exactly how I expected it to. It was a little dry. They were good to work with. Free delivery to neighboring towns.
