We had our wedding at the Harbour Banquet Centre last month in the room overlooking the lake. It was the perfect setting for our special day, on the second floor of the hall with windows providing a panoramic view of the lake - it was really this view that sold me on the venue, but there was so much more that made it amazing!

While as the bride I didn't get to eat nearly enough, the food was delicious and many guests commented on how good it was - and there was lots of it too! We started with passed hor d'oeuvres at the cocktail hour (I wasn't there for that, but heard they were good!), then had a mushroom risotto to start (soooo good!), prime rib and lemon thyme chicken for the main (with mashed potatoes, veggies and salad), and ice cream crepes for dessert. Our package also included a late-night buffet including pizza (which I hear was really good), fruit, and pastries (probably the only thing that didn't taste great). We were also able to bring in some late-night McDonald's, something many other venues would not allow us to do

The bar service was awesome, and guests were served drinks throughout dinner at their table (not an option we found many other places when we initially searched). They also let us have a signature cocktail, which they pulled off perfectly (Jolly Rancher Martinis... so yummy!). I think the only issue we had was trying to choose a wine that was not one of their standard options, but we ended up going with standard wines in the end and had no complaints.

The linens were all included in our package, and the room looked great - better than I pictured (save for one issue, but that was the florist's fault :P).

Our coordinator was very friendly, and importantly, patient (haha!), and the staff on the day-of was so kind, friendly and professional.

Overally, would definitely recommend this venue!

Gorgeous venue by the water, and food was phenomenal. We had our ceremony and reception in the Compass restaurant vs. the banquet room, and I think our choice was well justified. If you have a smaller sized wedding of 140 or less, I'll recommend the Compass room. It's much more updated in terms of style, and much more open. It felt so much more intimate as well.
