I'm Ethan, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Saint Paul, shooting locally and traveling for weddings across the country. My work lives in two places at once — editorial, fashion-forward portraits with real intention behind the light and the pose, and documentary candids that catch the moments nobody was performing for. I love both equally: the posed shot that feels like it could hang in a gallery, and the quiet, unscripted second right before you walk down the aisle. I shoot every wedding on both film and digital, because digital gives me the coverage and film gives the day a warmth that's hard to fake.

Before your wedding day even arrives, I'm working with you and your planner, if you have one, to actually build the vision for how the day gets photographed: the shot list that matters to you, the light we're chasing, the feeling we want the gallery to have when you look back at it in thirty years. I believe every couple carries a story worth telling and a beauty worth seeing, and my job is to notice it, direct it when it calls for it, and preserve it. Fashion, faith, personality, and a little spontaneity all show up in how I shoot. Whether it's an intimate elopement or a 400-person celebration, I'm there for the deeply in love.
