We hired Mike + Charity (Gilly + the Girl) to play at our brunch wedding reception in Gainesville, FL. Being a brunch, we were looking for a very specific feel - we wanted someone who could fill the space with wonderful music but also in a way which allowed our guests to mingle and enjoy their brunch. THEY NAILED IT! We met with them a few times to talk through the day, what kind of music we liked or didn't. They took the time to learn our wedding song and even consulted with us about the music (playlist) they played during their breaks. We had several guests comment to us about how wonderful they were. My (now) husband and his kids are all musicians and our music selection was super important to them. We were beyond pleased with them and we can't wait to see them play again locally - this time when we can sit undisturbed and enjoy them.

We hired Gilly & the Girl for our prelude, ceremony, and cocktail hour, and they were absolutely incredible. They are a husband-and-wife duo who sing and play guitar, and their music added so much beauty and emotion to our wedding day. Every song they performed was perfect, and their voices are truly amazing.
From the very beginning, communication was fantastic. She worked with me closely before the wedding, always replying quickly to my emails and being so kind and accommodating. She even recorded a few of my requested songs ahead of time so I could hear them, and offered to play at our rehearsal if I wanted her to. That level of care and professionalism meant so much to me.
Both of them were so warm, friendly, and easy to work with. They are incredibly talented musicians, and I am so grateful we found them. Our cocktail hour music was amazing, and so many of our guests complimented us on how wonderful they were.
Genuinely, I do not think they charge enough for how amazing they are. I cannot recommend Gilly & the Girl enough. They are kind, professional, and beyond talented. Thank you both so much for making our wedding day so special.

Gilly and the girl we’re incredible! We had a very small ceremony and reception at paddlefish at Disney springs and the live music really pulled it all together. We used them for both the ceremony and reception. Everyone commented on how wonderful they were. The duo was really easy to work with, very responsive, had a wide range of song selection- even learned a few new songs for us! We would highly recommend!

We originally found this duo on TikTok. They looked like they were having such a good time and were so talented that we had to go hear them live. We travelled 2 hours to see them play in person and were blown away at their eclectic range of music choices and they nailed them all! We asked if they would travel 2 hours north to play at our wedding and they agreed to play our cocktail hour and then for our reception. We spoke on the phone about expectations and about the venue and logistics. They worked well with the wedding planner and were complete professionals. They wanted to make sure that they understood the part that we wanted them to play in our special day and took notes on everything from timing to providing requested music selections from artists during their live music breaks. They were absolutely fantastic! We had people all that night coming up to us raving about Gilly and The Girl and asking us about them. Mike and Charity have a huge playlist that we could have selected the 60 or so songs and artists that we wanted performed at our wedding. Their taste in music was so similar to ours that we couldn't select our favorites, so instead we went through their playlist and selected the few artists and songs that we did not want performed at our wedding (It was a very short list because they are all good!) We allowed them to make the song choices off of their playlists with the songs they wanted to perform and it was phenomenal. They also said that if there was a song or two that meant a lot to us that was not on their list they would be willing to learn it to sing at our wedding. They introduced us at the reception and played "our special song" that they had learned for our first dance. They were amazing and made the night very special. They also learned a new song for us and sang it as our last dance together after everyone was cleared out of the reception. It was a surprise song my bride had them learn for our last dance and they sang it flawlessly complete with Irish brogue. We could not imagine any way that the music on our special day could have been any better. Coming from two families that love music and are full of musicians, we could not recommend them highly enough. They made our night so perfect and their personalization of our wedding made it an even more unforgettable night than we could ever imagine. Beautiful selection of songs performed perfectly for guest arrival hour and cocktail hour of my daughter's wedding. Gilly and The Girl were absolutely perfect and we couldn't have asked for better! This duo is PERFECT. They exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding. Our guests, all foreigners, were dazzled with their voices. Thank you so much for the effort to learn and sing my favorite song as I walked down the aisle, you made my dream come true!

Charity and Mike were incredible to work with! They were both so easy going, accommodating and professional. They learned a few songs for specials moments in our wedding and I cannot say enough great things about them. We had them play the ceremony, reception and EMCEE it. We are still having friends and family rave about how great they were! Couldn't recommend them more.

These two were without a doubt the best vendors at our wedding! Their vocals were exactly what we were looking for and they absolutely killed it! On top of that they were so great to work with leading up to our wedding and we cannot recommend them enough!

We hired Gilly and the Girl for a driveway concert and to celebrate my moms 80th birthday. We love this acoustic duo. Charity has mesmerizing powerful vocals and Mike is a talented smooth guitarist and singer. Together their harmonious music makes us happy to sing along, get up and dance, or, our favorite, playing along with Charity with our kazoos! I’d recommend them for any venue, including weddings. They won’t disappoint.
