We are so happy that we chose the Railroad Museum as our wedding venue. It was absolutely gorgeous and incredibly unique. Our guests still talk about how amazing it was! The historic property served as a beautiful backdrop for our wedding! We loved having our dinner in the Blacksmith Shop, and dancing in the Roundhouse with all of the trains on display. There were so many great spots to get pictures, that our photographer was giddy with excitement! The museum also handles all of the beverage services, and the cocktail hour, which helped to make it a smooth process for us and for our guests. It was truly the perfect venue for our wedding, and Natalie, the coordinator, was amazing to work with! I highly recommend this museum if you're looking for a unique venue!

Our reception at the Georgia State Railroad Museum was absolutely amazing! Our guest are still talking about how stunning the venue was. We had the reception in the blacksmith shop for a small group of about 85 people and i couldn't give enough praise for how wonderful the space was. The venue is on the pricier end due to a per-person entry fee because it is a public museum. We had full access to the entire site which was nice so we could take pictures throughout the grounds without the guests seeing us before we were announced in. The bartenders were AMAZING. Very nice and went out of their way to make sure my fiancé and i were constantly taken care of. They event went to find a certain kind of alcohol that my dad asked for that we didn't arrange to have on hand.

This was the most gorgeous venue. Our guests loved how unique the atmosphere was with the beautiful exposed machinery in the blacksmith shop to the vintage trains they got to dance alongside all night in the Roundhouse. The best thing about the space is how gorgeous it is with little to no effort. All we did was hang some lights, put out some flowers, and voila. It was just beautiful. I think a few of our guests are considering the space for their future nuptials :)

Amazing venue and the staff is very helpful. Not the cheapest place but it is definitely worth it - absolutely breathtaking!!!

We knew instantly after we visited the GA State railroad museum that this was the place for us. Working with the wedding coordinator was a breeze until I found out a month before my wedding that the coordinator I had been working with had left without any notification to me. The new coordinater was great and very responsive, but some of the details that had been worked out previously were not carried through, i.e. the beer/wine selections we chose did not make it to our wedding...this was disappointing; however, other than that this is a beautiful venue and easy people to work with. One downside -- no A.C. we asked them to supply large fans, but we didn't end up getting those either...something to think about you early summer brides!

The Railroad Museum is a fantastic wedding venue! It’s not the cheapest but the rustic look of the setting means that you can keep your decorations minimal because this place is beautiful as is. Working with Natalie at the Railroad Museum was great and she was always super quick to respond to any requests we had. All of our guests commented on what a great venue this was for a wedding!

I LOVED this location. Very rustic and beautiful. And my husband loves trains so it was a perfect fit for us. Natalie was very responsive and helpful. However, the details of the contract and the day were very vague and hard to understand. I had asked that the crew set up tables at noon and not only were they not there to set up until around 1 (we had people waiting to decorate by that time) but there was a MESS left from the night before that we had to clean up. Not professional at all. It made everyone on edge and added more stress to the decorators. They charged us for 7 hours worth of "labor." 2 hours to set up (they were late, and we did most of the moving and set up), 3 hours for the event, and 2 hours to break down (if the night before was any implication, they probably didn't do that). So that was super disappointing. But at the end of the day, the location was gorgeous and everything ended up being ok!

The railroad museum is a really cool attraction in Savannah making it the perfect setting for a wedding/reception/event. However, the price to rent the venue and their alcohol packages are astronomical. We paid to rent a fire pit and it didn’t even get set up until almost an hour into the reception. It is very beautiful though and all of our guests raved about how neat it was!
