Our day was special and a big part of that was because we chose an amazing team of dedicated and professional people that just made sure that we didn't miss a single thing, that all the details were covered... Me, Brian and our entire family still talk about how amazing you guys were, the quality of the food, and your attention to every single detail. We were in an awe the entire time, seeing you work so hard to make things work, until the very end of the night, and we are so thankful for that, for all of you.
To the couples considering GEM Mansion: You won't regret hiring Melissa and GEM Mansion. In fact, that would be your best decision ever! The venue is just gorgeous, we had 110 guests and we had plenty of space! The venue is big! The gardens are beautiful and you have 3 areas to choose for your ceremony! Quality of the food.. 10/10! The open bar, and bartenders, amazing, and Melissa and Luigy... they are great people that make everything so easy! I did not hire an event planner, we didn't need one because Gem Mansion offers a day of coordinator, but... don't let the "day-of coordinator" fool you, they really start working with you since the very beginning, helping you plan your dream wedding since the day you hire them.
HIRE GEM MANSION!!!!! You'll thank me later ;)

Thank you for making my special day memorable. As cliché as it sounds, words can not describe the joy of my wedding day coming to fruition. The team at GEM Mansion was incredible and helped everything flow easily. The food was served hot, quick, and tasted amazing. The mansion was beautiful. Thank you Melissa!!!

As a couple who had a destination wedding, we really had to narrow down our choices and find a venue that was PERFECT for us. We searched the internet, and flew to Florida to look at venues. I recall that the Gem Mansion was our last apt of the day. Prior to our meeting, we had seen multiple venues and felt completely discouraged. I am so glad we did not give up! The GEM mansion offers a unique setting that doesn't feel like your typical wedding, it has a pool which is magical at night under the string lights, and the grounds are beautiful as well. Melissa and Luigi took care of us our entire night, making us feel so special and catered to our every need. We want to do it all over again with them!!!

Before starting this, I have to say our wedding in January was an absolute 10/10- truly the best night of my life. A big part of that was this venue, which made it so easy for us and our 165 guests to have an unforgettable evening. That said, I want to share an honest review for the brides doing venue research (like I was a year ago) so you can make the best decision- one we all know is an expensive one!

TLDR: Would I book this venue again? Yes, in a heartbeat. Would I work with GEM’s wedding planning team again? Absolutely not.

My full review:
The venue is dreamy- think upscale estate/house party vibes. The yard is gorgeous, the front of the mansion was a perfect ceremony backdrop, and the round table seating around the pool was so romantic. If I could do it again, I’d book the cheapest package that reserves the venue and includes food, drinks, staff, and furniture- skip the packages with the “designated wedding planner” and save yourself thousands.

If you’re an anxious bride (guilty!) or want the ease of a planner, I’d suggest hiring your own wedding planner to work with the GEM team. I say this because communication was rough- days or weeks could go by without responses to texts, calls, or emails. We paid an extra $6k for the wedding planning team, so this lack of responsiveness wasn’t at all what I expected, especially since our other vendors were SUPER responsive.

I used GEM’s preferred vendor list (so helpful!) but coordinated everything myself. I was told someone from GEM’s team would attend vendor meetings/calls- they didn’t. Not for cake tasting, DJ, officiant, photographer, or dress fittings. It wouldn’t have bothered me if I hadn’t been told otherwise. GEM did create our day-of timeline and hosted an in-person meeting for food tasting and table settings, which was helpful.

Again, our wedding turned out to be a dream. My husband and our family helped a lot day-of, which was necessary since we DIY’d our floral centerpieces and table deco. I truly don’t think things would have been set up in time without our family and bridesmaids last minute jumping in to help GEM staff.

Melissa was a solid day-of coordinator- she helped with vendor setup, steamed my veil, and helped me into my reception dress. We had a few hiccups wedding day (expected!) but worth mentioning:

1) The mansion’s main bathroom was locked all night. We were already anxious about limited restrooms and thank god we brought in a portable restroom trailer- we needed it.

2) The mansion owners were inside the home during our wedding. Weird and unexpected. They were seen several times peeking through the windows into our reception and before I walked down the aisle, one of them loudly told me I wasn’t “allowed” on a certain side of the house (even though the planner led us that way). Strange... but harmless.

3) My husband & I weren’t served dinner until most guests had finished. Annoying, but we saw everyone at our welcome party the night before, so not getting to mingle after our meal wasn't as big of deal. Food was great!

4) It took 7 weeks to get our deposit back (contract said 2–3 days). GEM had fraud issues. Not a huge deal, but be aware.

None of this ruined the day- it was beautiful, and I’m forever grateful to our family and friends. I replay it all the time- I know it's cliche but it was truly the best night of my life.

I know this was long, but I hope it helps anyone starting the planning process- especially since reviews for this venue are rare!
