Gaither's at Myrtle Creek Farm is a farm-style wedding venue located in Covington, Georgia. Situated amongst the rolling hills of southern Newton County, this historic property provides couples with a scenic backdrop for their wedding event. It is one of the last remaining mid-19th-century farms in Northeast Georgia and boasts plenty of heritage aspects throughout the grounds. This venue is home to the Gaither House, a log smokehouse, and a pole hay barn. Several structures in Newton County have been relocated to Gaither. This includes Harris Spring Primitive Baptist Church, two (2) cabins, a country store, along with a few others. The venue has numerous options to provide the perfect backdrop for photography.
Facilities and Capacity
Gaither's offers a manicured lawn for ceremonies, receptions, and other wedding events to take place. Couples and their guests may also make use of the period-appropriate home. This house is washed in a stunning, white aesthetic and boasts a porch with intricately designed supports. The decor inside the house is tailored to match the elegant charm of the exterior, complete with chandeliers and wooden furniture pieces. A beautiful brick walkway leads up to the entryway, offering a grand view as couples and their guests enter into the event space. Behind the house, surrounded by a picketed white fence, is a landscaped garden that holds a delicately designed structure where ceremonies may take place.

This farm venue is located southeast of the center of Covington at 270 Davis Ford Road. The nearest major city is Athens, Georgia, which can be reached via Interstate 20. The Oconee National Forest is accessible en-route to Greensboro. The Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge is directly south of the property and can be reached by following Highway 11.
