I feel so grateful and lucky to have had the opportunity to have Chelsey photograph our wedding. I actually knew I wanted to work with Chelsey years before I got engaged because her photos immediately stood out to me. She does such an amazing job capturing both beautiful scenery or poses AND the energy and emotion of the people pictured. It's true art and storytelling. We had to postpone our wedding by a year due to COVID, and Chelsey made it very easy to move our date. Chelsey was easy to communicate with and offered great tips throughout the wedding planning process. With both our engagement photos and our wedding photos, she made us feel comfortable and relaxed -- my husband actually described our engagement session as just "a really fun date where we happen to have someone taking our pictures." As expected, our wedding photos turned out absolutely amazing. We got a ton of sneak peaks to share the very next day, and the full gallery was available within the expected timeframe. Every time I've looked through the photos, I've felt so much joy reliving the moments from the day.

I've had the pleasure of engaging Chelsey Pas with Friends and Lover's Photography for my family photos for many years now. We found Chelsey through Instagram and, as a same sex couple, immediately loved her passion for photographing queer couples. She cares about building rapport with the couples she photographs and did a great job making the—for us, very awkward—experience of being photographed a comfortable one. Chelsey first did an engagement shoot with us where she captured the most cuddly pictures and then photographed our sunrise elopement in Colorado, which was absolutely stunning.

Chelsey is creative and down for adventure (shooting the elopement at sunrise was her idea). She hiked a snow covered trail in 28 degrees to get to one of our favorite hiking spots for the elopement. She drove over an hour to get to the trail and then spent four hours on the mountain and off—roaming around Silver Plume—taking really spectacular pictures of us and our dog.

Not only did she take stunning photos—she sent us the entire album in under three weeks. It felt like she was as excited to see and enjoy them as we were.

We loved working with Friends and Lovers Photography for at least 6 different sets of photos, including our wedding. Chelsey is incredibly kind and caring, on top of being so talented. We feel so incredibly lucky to have found and used Chelsey for our wedding in 2014. Neither my wife nor I had any experience planning a wedding or working with a photographer, which made Chelsey an even better choice for us. She walked us through the process, gave us advice when we asked for it and really understood what we wanted. As a result, we have wedding pictures that our friends and family envy! I couldn't imagine anyone else shooting our wedding other than Chelsey of Friends and Lovers Photography. My husband and I are not the most natural "models" for photo shoots but she makes you feel so comfortable and at ease and more like you are spending time with a friend rather than posing for a picture. As a result the photographs come out so natural and some of the most beautiful memories you will ever have.

Not only has she photographed our wedding but because of her amazing talent, we have had her at almost every big event in our life since our wedding from the birth of our baby to a fun boudoir shoot for my husband :). All the pictures from our engagement to our baby milestone photos hold so many sweet memories and its because of how Chelsey can capture all the joy and love that each life moment carries.

I have worked with Chelsey for multiple shoots, each one so much fun, and with incredible pictures as a final product. The two awesome boudoir shoots were a blast-- she let me change outfits as much as I wanted, incorporated some of the ideas I had had, and was never in a rush. You can tell she loves what she does. I also did some shoots with friends in the parks around Denver, and used some creative spots, like the railroad tracks for a vintage-inspired shoot. Best of all, was my wedding day at the Denver Botanic Gardens (while the Chihuly exhibit was there), which she documented beautifully! One of my favorite parts of the whole day was my first look with my husband and the next hour or so spent wandering around the different areas of the gardens with Chelsey, taking tons of amazing photos. I'm so glad I took her recommendation to do the couples photos ahead of time before all the business of the day began, and we didn't have to rush through them. The documentation of the ceremony really captured the emotion of those special moments, and the pictures from dinner and dancing, are so much fun. I treasure all my wedding day photos! I also loved that I didn't have to slim down my favorites-- with our package, she gave me all the digital files, which was amazing.
