"Have you ever thought if one thing hadn't happened, a whole set of things never would have either? Like dominos in time, a single event kicked off an unstoppable series of changes that gained momentum and spun out of control, and nothing was ever the same again. Don't ever doubt that a mere second can change your life forever!"

And so it was for me. That single event that kicked off the unstoppable. I gave birth to my daughter, Emmalee, and the world was never the same. She was born with ARPKD, a rare, and potentially life threatening disease of the kidneys and liver. We were told she may not see her first birthday and I promised myself whatever happened, I was going to document her life and so it began, the momentum and spinning out of control.

Because of Emmalee, I began to see life so much differently. Everything became a memory and a reason to document life that was happening and I soon became in love with documenting other peoples memories and life stories.

Now, here I am. Nearly 10 years, four kiddos, and a studio later, falling in love with what I do more and more every day. From documenting that first spark of love, to the promise of eternity and birthing the beginning of that love all over again, capturing life as it unfolds, that's me, that's our studio!
