Stunning florals!

Working with Carolyn of Folk Art Flowers has been a wonderful experience from the get-go. It was important for us to hire vendors who really understood our vision and were also excited to work with queer couples. (Which isn’t always the reality!) Carolyn took my scrambled ideas and turned them into something more beautiful than I could have imagined. On top of that she was communicative every step of the way and made sure I didn’t have to worry about anything the day of. She also does event design, so all the tables were styled by her and her team. So many compliments from guests on how elegant yet cozy everything was. In our consultation I said I wanted the florals to be what everyone will remember- and she provided just that. Amazing work, you will not be disappointed.

Book Carolyn and Folk Art Flowers TODAY!

First off, we HIGHLY recommend Carolyn and Folk Art Flowers for anyone looking for a florist!! Carolyn is easy to work with and has such an amazing eye for design. You will not regret choosing her as your florist!!

Like many people in 2020, our wedding was derailed and the entire year became something of a planning fiasco. We were calling vendors left and right trying to properly postpone but also still trying to have the wedding of our dreams. Carolyn was the absolute dream floral vendor for us!! She was so supportive and flexible of helping us find our new dates but also staying in sync with us on potential design changes due to new wedding dates spewing up left and right. We moved our wedding date three times which meant we had a wedding in three different seasons and different florals. However, Carolyn kept the original floral vision alive with her knowledge of the kind of florals that grow for the different seasons. It was amazing to see and the end result was SPECTACULAR!! She was the perfect planning partner to have alongside us and we cannot emphasize enough how helpful and kind she was.

We proudly and unequivocally recommend Carolyn and Folk Art Flowers to everyone and anyone!! Book her today!!

A true work of art

Carolyn is a dream to work with and the flower arrangements she puts together are even dreamier. My original plans were to not have a bouquet during my ceremony, but a bunch of altered plans and postponed dates due to coronavirus led me to change my mind. And boy am I glad I took the leap. For the bouquet, I let Carolyn take creative freedom with what & how she pulled together; providing her with the color palette & a few other details to help guide the way. The bouquet, flower cuff and boutonnieres she created were exquisite. If I had one complaint, it's that I wished the flowers lasted longer just so that I could enjoy them longer.

Owner & Artist-in-Charge

Carolyn Kulb is the founder and lead artist of Bloom Poet—a full-service wedding florist and event design company based in Seattle, Washington. Bloom Poet serves couples ready to create a meaningful and breathtaking experience for their wedding day. Carolyn helps couples dream big, embrace new ideas, and look to nature and their wedding destination for inspiration.

Carolyn’s design work has been featured in national publications such as Flower Magazine, Aisle Society, Well Wedded Magazine, Trends Magazine, and Houzz.com. She has been invited to design, teach, and present across the country, including the Northwest Flower and Garden Show, the Slow Flowers Podcast, and American Flowers Week.

Carolyn believes that floral design is an art form, meant to tell the stories of our love. Carolyn wed her college sweetheart 12 years ago so they could serve in the Peace Corps together in Africa. After living in four countries and traveling in many more, Carolyn continues to draw upon multicultural art, architecture, and design influences in the way she crafts experiences for couples. She believes that in our culture, flowers are used to signify our most universal human experiences, and to tell our stories in ways that words cannot. This confluence of art, exploring cultural traditions, and helping people celebrate their milestones is what brought Carolyn to floral design years ago - and why she continues to love doing it.

In her free time, you can find Carolyn cuddling with her senior kitty, laughing with her husband, plotting where to travel next, tending her flower garden, writing music, spending time with friends, and learning Italian.
