Angelika has loved food from a young age, devouring Food Network specials as a little girl. She worked at various eateries during high school, before beginning her career as a cheesemonger. Upon meeting her partner Christopher, Flora & Fauna Provisions was born from an idea to start a business that prioritized locally sourced, quality ingredients. Christopher trained in Le Cordon Bleu as a young man, expanding his knowledge and love for all things gastronomy.
Today, Angelika and Christopher focus on providing a deliciously unique experience to their customers. Flora & Fauna Provisions is delighted to provide catering services for your special day. Incredible vendor saved the day
12 days before our wedding date we got news that our former caterer had an emergency and could no longer attend/provide food for our guests. We were able to get into contact with Flora & Fauna through theknot.com. We explained our situation and we were invited to stop by to discuss our options.
We met Angelika, one of the owners, who gave us a bowl of their delicious coconut based squash soup. She sat down with us to talk about our previous menu, what ingredients we'd like to have, dietary restrictions, meal presentation, and budget. Needless to say it was a life saving conversation during that stressful day.
Our wedding menu was completely vegan. We had bread with garlic butter, crostinis with squash, elote fritters, pasta with trumpet mushrooms and cream sauce, caramelized onion mashed potatoes, and a tomato based cassoulet with sausage, tempeh, beans and veggies. They prepared everything to be served family style. They also accommodated meals for our vendors and guests with additional dietary restrictions.
Flora & Fauna also provided tea and coffee. They were short on mugs from their restaurant, but were willing to provide some of their own personal mugs to even it out.
Everything was delicious. We felt so taken care of. Flora & Fauna absolutely blew us away with their consideration, creativity, and professionalism especially with such short notice. I 100% recommend them for catering.
