Chef John is outstanding in every way. He worked closely with us to create a menu that reflected our personal tastes while staying within our budget. His culinary range spans a wide variety of cuisines, and every single dish we tried, whether at our tasting or on the wedding day, was consistently delicious.
Chef John’s depth of flavor, creativity, flexibility, and professionalism could easily qualify him to teach a master class. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had.
If we had to choose one type of food to eat for the rest of our lives together, we’d choose Chef John’s every time. Seriously, if Chef John is an option for your wedding or event, don’t think twice. You won’t be disappointed.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience working with Chef John and Diana for our wedding. From start to finish, they were incredibly easy to work with and really took the time to listen to our story, creating a tailored menu that beautifully reflected our different backgrounds. Chef John Chef Eric and their teams have cooked twice for us. Once an intimate sit down dinner for a bday party for 15 people and more recently for 75 people for a garden party. Their flavors, presentation are incredible and the food just shows up seamlessly even when they are cooking for so many people. They spend a lot of time understanding what you want and tailor the menu exactly how you want it. Also, if you are vegetarian like us they have so many amazing options to prepare. I’ve really enjoyed working with them!

Chef John and Five Course Provisions are hard to beat. We haven’t had our wedding just yet but everything leading up to the tasting has been nothing but accommodating and great. Communication and professionalism was ever present in every conversation, phone or email, and even through the tasting. We arrived at our tasting and were introduced to our server and chef John. We went with an Asian fusion menu and were able to taste everything on the curated menu. Although we didn’t make any changes to the menu originally provided to us, we didn’t see the need to after tasting the foods. None of the food was overly seasoned to try and enhance the taste and everything tasted great. So many subtle flavors in each dish without a single flavor overpowering the plate. Our favorite was the short rib but we’re pleasantly surprised by the daikon and radish salad as well as some of the appetizers. We go to sit with the chef after the tasting and throughly go over the menu and the details of the wedding. We have no doubt that this was the caterer to choose for our wedding and we’re so excited to see the team again on our wedding day!

We couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience throughout our wedding journey. From the very first consultation, to our tasting where my husband and our father's were left with a lasting impression (we were talking about it for weeks!), to the last bite of our delicious braised short rib, Five Course Provisions exceeded every expectation. 

John made it easy to bring to life the vision that I had for our wedding day. He made sure to incorporate elements that were a priority into our day and executed an astounding menu that uniquely blended both the Iranian and European cultures that were important to us. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious our appetizers were during cocktail hour and how amazing the food was for dinner. John even came up with a Persian inspired mocktail for my husband's side of the family that consisted of Rose, Lemon & Pomegranate and it was a complete hit! Our top priority was making sure we booked a caterer that did not sacrifice quality over quantity. Food is a big part of our cultures and if I had to do our wedding reception over again, I would choose Five Course in a heartbeat. 

Beyond the five star quality of food, the service was excellent. The team was professional, friendly, and so attentive throughout the entire event. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors to ensure everything went off without a hitch. Throughout my experience, John would find ways to surprise and delight - I am so incredibly grateful.

Where do I even begin? Chef John and his team at Five Course Provisions made our wedding dining experience truly unforgettable! From start to finish, the food was absolutely incredible, and we can't thank him enough for the unforgettable flavors and presentation.
One of the highlights was the pressed juices Chef John made specially for us. We had a lot of kids and guests who don't drink alcohol, and the juices were a huge hit! They were refreshing, delicious, and something we hadn’t seen at any other wedding. The hor d’oeuvres were perfection, with my personal favorite being the tuna tartare bite.
The meal was perfectly cooked. We started with an amazing starter salad that was light and fresh, followed by a pasta course that I’m still thinking about to this day. The flavors were so rich and comforting, and it was easily one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The entrees were just as delicious—so thoughtfully prepared, and each bite was full of flavor. I truly wish I could eat the whole meal again!
And if that wasn’t enough, Chef John went above and beyond with mini desserts. The black sesame cheesecake cup was a standout—so creamy, with the perfect balance of flavors. Later in the night, we had sliders, which were the perfect late-night snack and had everyone raving.
Chef John and Five Course Provisions elevated our wedding experience in such a meaningful way. The food was a key part of making our celebration so special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better caterer. I can’t say enough about Chef John and the Five Course Provisions catering team! My guests LOVED our wedding food so much that they called it ‘gourmet’ and ‘the best wedding food they’ve ever had.’ My husband and I couldn’t agree more! Not only was the food delicious, but Chef John was very detailed oriented, responsive, reliable and professional! Honestly our wedding day wouldn’t have ran as smoothly as it did without FCP! Prior to the big day, FCP was able to overcome any challenge we faced( strict venue insurance requirements, an unreliable DOC, etc). I can’t thank them enough! I would give them 10 out of 5 stars if I could! Choose them, you won’t regret it!

Five Course Provision catered an event I had gone to and I was blown away at their food and its presentation.. I knew I had to have them at my wedding. When I first contacted them, both chefs- Eric and John were very friendly, informative, and noticeably very knowledgeable in their profession. Eric was our main point of contact but when he was unavailable, John knew exactly where Eric left off. Their attention to detail and communication between the two of them is strong and it shows! Wedding day was as smooth as could be. Everything from start to finish went exactly as planned, if not better. I had a vision and they made it a reality. The food was great and the desserts were to die for. Everything was completely customizable to our liking which made it feel more “us” making it that much more special. The professionalism provided by the chefs and their crew was unforgettable. I would give them 100 stars if I could! Thank you all for everything, I really couldn’t have asked for anything better!

This team blew my mind. I was utterly in awe of how good the food was and how kind the owners are. Eric specifically spoke with me and treated me like family. He made sure we were all satisfied and enjoying our meals.
