This district was established in the 1980s by the National Register of Historic Places with 70 buildings spanning approximately 10 square blocks in this district. In the 1990s, a $3.4 million streetscapes project was accomplished, furthering the economic boom in the area. Construction also began with the creation of a riverwalk as well as the beginning of streetscaping.
