Filament is an urban wedding reception and special event venue located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This event space is a perfect location for a modern couple in search of a unique setting, featuring exposed Cream City brick and beams with botanical touches. Filament is a new and inspired space from the creators of The Ivy House and is located within walking distance to the Historic Third Ward in Milwaukee and the bustling bars and restaurants of South Second Street.
History
Filament is an ideal event space for a couple interested in American history due to its proximity to the Historic Third Ward. This district was established in the 1980s by the National Register of Historic Places with 70 buildings spanning approximately 10 square blocks in this district. In the 1990s, a $3.4 million streetscapes project was accomplished, furthering the economic boom in the area. Construction also began with the creation of a riverwalk as well as the beginning of streetscaping. During the 2000s, Milwaukee Public Market opened within the district with construction and renovation moving south of the river, creating a new neighborhood in the area.

It is also six minutes from Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design for those interested in soaking up the nearby art and culture of the area.
