I rented a dance floor from these guys. http://www.familyfunpartyrentals.net/index.html
They are reasonably priced, at $14 per 3 foot square with a $35 delivery and installation fee. The pieces seemed to fit together smoothly with a nice border around the edge, and it didn't slide around on the carpet. Super impressed at how low maintenance these guys are, too; a couple of emails and everything was set up. Highly recommended!
