Amazing Experience with Extraordinary Wedding Arches

Cynthia is the best wedding planner out there. She is extremely professional, patient and kind and helped us plan the best wedding we could have imagined. She recommends great vendors and is very detail-oriented. Choosing to work with Cynthia was one of our best wedding decisions!

Outstanding Wedding Planner and Coordinator

Cynthia is amazing. I had the honor of working as the officiant for her clients' New Year's Eve Wedding. She was very communicative during the planning phase of the event and I was definitely impressed by her friendly and professional attitude. Her couple spoke very highly of her and made me look forward to meeting her on their wedding day. Cynthia wowed me. She transformed a stark desert venue into a romantic and dreamy setting with elegant and classy touches. She was on schedule and on point. It's wonderful working with someone who knows what they're doing. Calm, poised and graceful.
I would certainly recommend Cynthia and her Extraordinary Wedding Arches team to anyone looking for a top-notch Wedding Planner.

They created our dream wedding!!!

Cynthia and her team at Extraordinary wedding arches went along with every crazy idea that we threw at them and executed it with grace and ease. We could not have asked for a better group of people to create our not only magical day but the whole entire weekend. Every detail was perfect. I am so incredibly grateful!!!

Banned from venue

I hate to be the first less than 5 star review, but I will start with this- Cynthia and her company are banned from coordinating at my venue, Kimberly Crest, after my Nov 2022 wedding. It was very surprising as we got along so well during the planning stages and I really thought she would be able to execute the day with ease. The decor was very important to me, and I did much of it myself. However, her attention to detail was not there. I supplied candles for the ceremony in candleabras, and they weren’t all turned on, same with the reception decor. The tables were not all set- our sweethearts table had no settings! We hired her to create a showpiece cake out of foam and she didn’t leave a space for the real cake so we could cut it! Her reasoning was that we wanted to keep the cake so they didn’t leave the cut. Well, that cake disappeared and we never got it. She didn’t return my texts about where it went.
In her coordination contract she included in her services implementing all events of the wedding- there was no alcohol at the cocktail hour! They never served champagne, so we didn’t have a champagne toast at our wedding. When we asked her about it all she said was- “I’m not the catering manager.” The workers she hired were drinking our alcohol and we ran out of beer thanks to that. Overseeing and Implementing all events?! What happened to that?!
She returned many of my decor items broken, no offer to reimburse me for them.
Salt to the wound- she subcontracted a rental company without my knowledge, after telling me that she had rentals, and told them it would be ok to pick up the rentals Sunday morning… for which I received an overtime bill of $2400 from the venue!
The way Cynthia handled it- telling the venue she didn’t know- which they returned an email to her (and copied me) where they had told her it was not ok to leave items over night. She then tried telling them her husband fell, that had no impact on the charge, then tried to go with a discrimination accusation. None of these tactics worked, so she just stopped dealing with it, and I was left with a $2400 bill!
Her response to me after addressing all this was- “Sorry you didn’t have a good time.” WOW that’s how much she cares about her brides when all is said and done?
And- since apparently it bothered her that I pointed out all her missteps- she turned around and said I owed her for storage of my items! I told her I would have them picked up but she lives far out and I had trouble getting to her- she had never told me about ANY fee for storage until after I showed her my list of her careless mistakes.
The fact that she’s been banned from my venue says it all. If you want someone who genuinely cares about your big day, do not leave it in Cynthia’s hands.

If you need a coordinator, I warn you go elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a wedding coordinator, I would highly suggest looking at other options. Cynthia was actually the worst part of my wedding. Everything else was wonderful. Not only was she a deer in highlights on the actual day, but my number one thing communicated was to not have my family working on the day of hence why we hired her. I am an extremely organized person due to my job. I not only had a blueprint of the actual table settings, but it was color coded with names. She knew well up front what this event would entail. I even had lists in each box to say where things should go. She tried to up sell along the way with cheesy art decals for an insane cost, but looking back I’m mostly just confused why she was looking to add more to the to do list when she was clearly unprepared for it as is. Either way, my dad and brother jumped in immediately after watching her try to open a box with her fingers for 5 minutes. My dad shoved his key in it and asked her what else. The reception never would have been ready in time without my Dad and Brother jumping in. I found this out after, of course. She showed up alone, and then instead of hiring an adult - she brings her granddaughter or something to help her (for cheap I assume). A child was not what she needed for a helper… that seems like common sense but maybe not. Several other super off putting things happened throughout, like her complaining several times about how much work she was doing. You’d think for her high fee (I shopped around, she priced high for what abilities she offers) that she would at least bring an adult to help lift and move things. A professional, preferably, but that seems like a crazy ask considering the rest of it. It was a weekend wedding, so I got married on Friday and back home Sunday. Monday morning I went through our boxes and found the extremely expensive champagne glasses we got for our sweetheart table, that never made it to the table, broken. Her response “I usually have a 3 day grace period for that kind of thing, but if you really feel you should be reimbursed”. Like, kick rocks lady. You knew I wouldn’t see something like that until Monday and clearly knew they were broken on Friday, which is likely why they never made it to the table. I don’t know, maybe just apologize? And I don’t need anything from you. I just need people to know that this “coordinator business” is not your thing. You seem way more interested the arches and whatever else. Just not wedding planning, that’s for sure. Good luck, brides.
