I hired Erica as a day-of coordinator. She helped me tremendously with some of the wedding planning, such as making a timeline for the day and answering the various questions I had about the specifics of the day. However, a close friend of mine, who I had drop off the wedding decorations at the reception venue (separate from our ceremony venue), said the coordinator dropped the ball when it came to decorating the venue. Erica arrived around noon and by the time my friend arrived (after the ceremony) to check on things at 3, my friend noticed nothing had been decorated, despite having ample time to get it done. My friend ended up decorating, even though I had paid my coordinator to do that. Most of what my coordinator did for me was exactly what I expected and it was great. However, I am disappointed that my friend and wedding guest had to pick up the slack on my wedding day. Erica also asked that guest to get more alcohol, even though I specified my mom and my sister as the point people for the day.
