Our business started as a fundraiser where we raised over $14K within a 9 month timeframe selling our family's pound cake to send our 14 year old son to 7 countries in Europe for 20 days and my 16 year old son to China for 17 days the summer of 2014. After raising the full tuition for both trips, July 2014, Emily's Heirloom Pound Cakes, LLC was born. The business name originates from our "Big Mama" whose recipe we tweaked - Mrs. Emily Magnolia McClung. We offer a variety of flavors to include Original, Chocolate Lovers, Lemon Blueberry and Caramel.
The Wedding Pound Cake or naked cake as many refer to it, has 3 tiers with 3 cakes on each tier and serves 102 guests. It is traditionally made in our Original Emily's flavor and is loaded with fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and 2 variety of grapes. We make a delicious cream cheese butter cream filling that is added between the layers.
The Mini Wedding Pound Cake has 3 tiers with 2 cakes on each tier and serves 68 guests. We have made it in both the Original Emily's and Chocolate Lovers . This cake has been used for Grooms' cake, anniversaries, retirements or any special occasion. With the chocolate cake, we use chocolate covered strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, variety of grapes and a raspberry cream cheese butter cream filling between the layers.
