Harpist Emily Duncan is an alumna of the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Yolanda Kondonassis. Duncan completed her undergraduate studies at Oklahoma City University summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Music in Harp Performance, and recently graduated with her Master’s of Music in Harp Performance.

Duncan received the First Place prize in the LMC Zachritz Harp Competition in 2020, and made her solo debut with the Oklahoma City Community Orchestra with a world premiere of Smetana’s Die Moldau transcribed for harp and orchestra. In 2022, Duncan was awarded the Alice Chalifoux Prize in Harp from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She has frequently performed with the Oklahoma City Symphonic Band, the Oklahoma City Community Orchestras, the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, and the Akron Symphony.

Emily Duncan was appointed the Adjunct Instructor of Harp at Oklahoma City University in 2022. She is also the Academic Specialist for the Wanda L. Bass School of Music and the School of Theater. Emily enjoys teaching her private and university harp studios, doing yoga, and drinking coffee.
