I interviewed several photographers before hiring Emily and am so glad we chose to work with her. My now husband and I typically come off fairly stiff in photographs. While we aren’t a super romantic couple, we did want our wedding photos to illustrate some emotion. In no way are we “comfortable” in front of a camera but you would never know it from looking at our wedding portraits. Both Emily and her second shooter Michelle made us feel comfortable and posed in natural ways. We were married in November, and received our photos just four weeks later. They are absolutely beautiful, timeless, and we both look incredible. Emily also made it a point to send us a few photos just a couple days after the wedding which was really nice since you’re so excited to share them at that point. Her photos are BREATHTAKING—the moments captured, the genuine smiles and laughs, her editing skills and quick hand with the camera stood out for me. And let me tell you, I tested her one too many times with my quick poses! We FaceTimed her as our first method of communication & right then I could tell she was a very organized, experienced wedding photographer. She sent over a rough draft of the photography timeline the next day giving us a sense of confidence in her passion for her work. I loved how she didn’t overly pose us or make things “too” perfect—it’s all about capturing the raw moments & emotions with a tiny bit of directing here and there. Working with Emily was absolutely AMAZING. We were instantly blown away by her portfolio and loved that she used both film and digital. The minute we meet with Emily we knew that we wanted to hire her to photograph our engagement session and wedding day. Emily is such a sweetheart and such a pleasure to work with. We were a bit hesitant to even do a wedding photographer because we've seen them bog down the whole flow of things. But Emily made it quick and fun and got some amazing shots I didn't even remember her being around for. The posed photos were actually quite fun thanks to her great direction and so glad we used her.

This was such an awesome experience and not just because it was my wedding. My wife and I weren't sure we wanted a photographer because weddings we have been at where the photographer was in the way, took way too long to do the group photos, was bossy, rude, etc. But Emily made it an incredibly fun experience, did a great job of lightly directing us to get the shot she wanted and composed some very special pictures to capture our special day. I can't believe how great the shots were and she made it really fun throughout the whole process.
