Elyse recently shot our engagement photos, and our experience was fantastic! She was kind and helpful, and most importantly our photos turned out great!

My fiance and I showed up to our shoot a little out of sorts after some trouble getting there (due to a flooded dirt road - my own fault for not vetting the route). After about 5 minutes of shooting, Elyse had us both in high spirits, and this showed up very well in our pictures. She helped us along with posing (as we're both camera shy) and chatted with us to bring out our personalities. To me, this is one of the most important qualities in a wedding/engagement photographer. Every friend and family member has told me how well these photos capture our love. That is the truest marker of success for engagement photos. The quality of the pictures is also gorgeous. She did an amazing job of capturing the colors and "golden hour" lighting at the state park we chose.

Elyse was also very professional and friendly, and her pricing is great. In short, we couldn't be more thrilled.

After seeing her work on Instagram, I contacted Elyse and her responses were quick, warm, and obliging to every request. My husband and I wanted our engagement pictures done at Fordham University where we met, but we could only do it the day after Christmas. Elyse was happy and willing to drive up and the pictures from the shoot were stunning.
The day of the wedding, Elyse arrived early (seriously, this woman will put you to shame with her punctuality) and began setting up. She is so effortless as a photographer that you will never feel uncomfortable with her there. I had never been a big fan of the "getting ready" shots. That is, until I saw the ones Elyse took for me. Even my sisters who mock the very campy "mother and daughter" pictures that normally come in a wedding album were amazed with how beautiful, intimate, and sweet the shots were.

During the church ceremony, I hardly noticed Elyse moving gracefully around and capturing every moment. That is exactly what you want in a wedding photographer during the ceremony. My favorite pictures though are the ones that Elyse captured where my husband is looking at me. The first time I saw them, I did tear up a bit. They really captured our relationship and our love for one another.

Before the reception, Elyse had us try some poses in the reception hall that she had thought of during her visit to my venues. These pictures have added a delightful and unexpected editorial quality to my album, and they're one of the small details that set Elyse apart from others.

I feel so badly for any bride who has cried after getting her wedding pictures back. The day is so important and having Elyse as your photographer will give you beautiful photos to catalogue every perfect moment.

The overall experience was great. I don't like taking photos, and I rarely hang any up. My home is now littered with shots done by Elyse! She captured the authenticity of our special day.
