Eastmoreland has a really lovely event space that is available for weddings at extremely reasonable rates (food must be catered by them). We were beyond pleased with our winter ceremony and reception at the golf course.
They are minimalist, weddings are not their primary or even secondary source of business, so they do not have a “full service” event staff. While the staff is helpful, flexible and accommodating I felt like I had a better knowledge of weddings and events then they did. I was comfortable with that but if you’re nervous or feel like you need a lot of guidance/help I would either go with a different venue or hire a wedding coordinator to work with them.
The staff took my decorations two days before and had the room completely set up when we got there 3 hours before the wedding, so that was great! One less thing to worry about.
They say the room fits 150, but it was a VERY tight squeeze and there would have been no room for a dance floor (we didn’t have one, so it was okay). I would say if you’re having a sit down reception with dancing 125 is probably more reasonable.
Overall, very pleased with the venue and the value. A great spot for budget minded brides!
